before appleflower became a member of the clan he had lived with
his gentle mother, blossom, and pregnant mate, flower (his previous
name being apple as he was a stray, belonging to no clan or tribe).
during a harsh winter, shortly after the birth of their children, flower
caught a sickness that neither he nor his mother could cure and she
died along with his four beautiful kits. due to this, he asked his mother
to help him learn how to heal with herbs so that if this ever occurred
again he would not have to watch his loved ones suffer. his mother
taught him well but he had heard of cats deep in the forest that could
cure terminal illnesses with the power of herbs - at the age of forty
four moons he left his mother with an old kittypet and set off on the
journey to find the clan that knew so much about healing. as apple
had a very kind and caring nature, the clan accepted him and allowed
him to be trained as a medicine cat under the the watchful mentoring
of lilactail; after he showed to have valuable skills, his name had to
be changed to become a member of the clan and he requested the
suffix of 'flower' in the kind and sweet remembrance of his old mate.
after the sad death of lilactail, appleflower became the official
medicine cat of his clan and couldn't be any happier.

she was raised among a pack of rouges, her father was the leader of
them all. their motto; kill to win, kill to survive. the rouges only lived
by merciless ways and mage knew no better - they began to train her
when she was three moons old, she proved to be a strong competitor
in the pack unlike her brothers who died during training. she only saw
her brothers as weak and believed that they deserved to die. as mage
grew she became blood-thirsty like her father, but her mind flickered
and she craved power, she had a dangerous desire to lead. at a point
in her life she was the most feared of them all - even her own mother
quivered in her presence. because of her strength and a newly found
power, she decided that she wanted to be the leader, that her father
wasn't worthy of the title; eventually she challenged him. battles over
the leader position occurred and mage came out on top, she killed
her father and gained the leader's title, briefly quenching her thirst
for power and glory. but that wasn't enough - she wanted more. the
she-cat murdered any cat that couldn't escape her grasp, she even
recruited needy strays as apprentices then used them, any and all of
her apprentices have died in battle, her kits used in the same way.
