mother and a Protestant father. He got his medical degree at
The Queen's University in Galway. In 1915 he enlisted and
joined the RAMC, ending up in a field hospital in Gallipoli.
After the war, he went back to Ireland. During the Irish War
for Independence, he assisted the IRA due to his experience
with treating gunshot wounds. He's an Irish republican and
Catholic. In 1922 he joined the Irish National Army as a doctor
because he was struggling to find employment elsewhere. In
1923 he got teleported to the future. He appeared 5 years
ago and ended up getting recruited as a medic by Aion. Since
then he's brushed up on modern medical practices and his
experiences as an army doctor have definitely been valuable.
Milo, commonly known just by his surname Bates, is a very
sharp and contemplative man. He's a very quick-thinker and
is good at keeping a clear head during stressful situations,
which is something he learned during the war. He can seem
overly serious and has never been much fun, though some
people have managed to crack his stoic outer shell and have
gotten a smile out of him. Milo is very devoted and will do
anything to protect the people he loves. He's not really a
people person and will often excuse himself to go outside
and smoke if there are too many people around. Underneath
it all, he's kind. He just has a hard time getting close to
