finnegan is a large built tom, usually towering over others in height and mass. his fur is thick, adding
to the intimidation of his size. his coloring is a mix of browns, from light to darker shades, with a few
white patches seen on his cheeks, chin, and neck area as well as a small spot on chest and tail tip. hi
s eyes are a dull cold yellow. his right ear is torn, claw marks scarring on his head as well around it.
though his looks may be intimidating to others, it's always been rather conflicting with his personality,
for finnegan is anything but aggressive. he's got a warm heart of gold, with a selfless streak. he's fair
and forgiving, with a gentle nature. finnegan has barley ever risen his voice in anger and is always see
n to be very calm and collected. he is not one for fighting but would protect the ones he loves with hi
s life without a second thought. finnegan is a wise tom yet not one to beat around the bush; he's alwa
ys been rather blunt but in a caring way - for he isn't one to lie and doesn't like holding the truth from
those who ask for his opinion or deserve to hear it. with his want to always care for others though, fin
negan barley ever cares for himself and usually doesn't speak of his own problems. he's always been w
ell-meaning but at times can be a little wishful; always wanting to see the good in others even when t
heir is nothing but evil there.
with his warm heart most would be surprised to find that the tom comes from a dark past. he was born
an alley-cat with one brother, salem. the two brothers were left on their own at a young age, fending f
or themselves in the city. salem began to resent every cat that abandoned them to find their own food
or kicked them out of their nests. while finn would just follow after his brother, watching as the other
tom grew dark - hatred filling his heart. as they got older, salem began attacking back any cat that opp
osed him. most came to finn and he would always stay loyal to his brother, but he also began to learn h
erbs and how to heal the wounded or sickly. one night, salem caught finn, he attacked him and his curr
ent patient - killing the already wounded elderly tom that he had 'exiled' from the alleys. with a newly
torn ear and blood dripping into his eyes, finn realized then that his brother was out of control. so with
a few berries, that he knew to cause a painful yet quick death, he fed them to his brother and watched
as the life left his eyes. he fled the city after that, but soon stumbled upon the wanderers; joining them
as their healer. no one knows of his past and he has kept it close to his heart - but never regretting.
