The Programmed

At birth, fifty children in a generation are chosen to be "programmed" into unfeeling, insanely strategic and powerful soldiers. These people never know if they are Programmed until the Switch happens. The Switch is when the soldier turns nineteen and their entire mind is wiped of all memories and are left knowing only one thing, go to base. Once at base, these men and woman are all trained by other soldiers like them and are turned into fighting machines for war. But this time is different, there are six out of that fifty who were purposely made incorrectly, they are a test to see which emotion brings more to the table.

It's now 3050 and everything has changed in the last hundred years so let me give you the rundown, my teacher says everyone should start explaining the new times so people in the future can see what it was like now.. so here I go. I guess. Technology has advanced and every day seems to be advancing even further, and are just... gone. No more spaceships. Yep, no more looking for new planets, that's all been erased, we gave up on trying to move, I don't know why. But now people are able to do just about anything, watch tv basically anywhere in your house, text people without having to carry anything. If I were from the past I'd say it's amazing, but it's actually kinda dumb since everyone lives in small neighborhoods, why do we have to have the need for texting? But people say I'm "old fashioned" so don't listen to me. Oh, and every new generation is born on a new day. I know, confusing, right? Well say Generation 1 was born January 1st, and Generation 2 was born January 2, ect. We have been doing this for a long time and finally, we're overlapping. So the older generations have names and descriptions of what they were like. For instance, my generation is supposed to have bad luck, or whatever because we all were born on ____ and they were apparently the worst. No one will tell us why or how, but they have gotten themselves quite the reputation, it interests me quite a bit but when I ask I always get sent to the office at school and get this whole lecture about not sticking my nose in other people business, but it's my peoples business, and it really frustrates me, like a lot.

Training will more than likely be interesting when it comes to 18 seeing as the person before him wasn't too interested in sports, which will make training quite difficult for the boy and possibly hard for the soldier training them as well. The boy may occasionally lose himself when or if he is angry enough, though he usually can keep it under control.

Sora Yunnii grew up living with
her aunt, who was
usually pretty cool
and loved all children,
except
for Sora. At a
young age, she had
noticed the difference
in the way she
treated her compared
to others. She had assumed
with complete confidence
it was because she had done
something wrong. Her aunt
would ignore her, even if she
were to be standing right beside
her, and her cousins would think
nothing of it, or were told to. Some
nights Sora would
go to bed without eating
any dinner and would get scolded
if she were to be caught eating
food in the night.

All her life
she had tried to get her aunt's
attention, though it seemed the harder
she tried, the more her aunt ignored her.
One day when Sora confronted
her aunt about it in a completely
outrageous way, her aunt was
forced to answer her questions'
though it wasn't as kindly as she
had been before.
Sora was sent away to
her grandfather's over the summer,
for both her and her aunt's saftey.
But being at her grandfather's
was far worse than her aunts.

Frondpaw had always been the smallest
no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't grow
any bigger. Out of his sisters he was unfortunately
the 'runt'.
His mother loved him nonetheless and kept him
close to her almost at all times, whenever he
would leave the den, she'd almost have a panic
attack over her smallest. This always bothered
him as a kit, which made him vow to himself
that he would become a strong warrior and
protect his mother like she protected him. Though
that didn't quite work out for him.

When Frondpaw finally became an apprentice
he was expecting to get a warrior as his mentor,
but he was sadly mistaken. He was assigned to
the medicine cat, which had definitely angered
the smaller kit/apprentice.
He knew that being the medicine cat's apprentice
was not what he was meant for, he wanted to
fight for his clan and to prove he wasn't too small.
He wasn't meant to pick up leaves and bark or
whatever medicine cats did, he didn't know how
to treat wounds and didn't really care to know.
