Description

Amelia is a shorter woman at 5’0, putting her at the disadvantage of always having to ask for help to reach things. On top of her small stature she’s on the curvier side, her small love of sweets always being a battle with her slowing metabolism. This is not to say she isn’t in shape as she does have a dedicated yoga routine she does every evening as a healthy lifestyle is incredibly important to her. She’s a soft spoken woman with a smile that lights every room she walks into and a hearty laugh that always gets others laughing alongside her. She has long strawberry blonde hair that couldn’t hold a curl to save her life. At most she braids her hair when she’s working but outside of that loves to leave her long hair loose. She has hazel eyes that tend to be more green than the occasional honey brown. Her fair complexion is covered in freckles, as it seems to be the curse of her Irish heritage. Ames is always found in loose floral dresses and kitten heels, having a specific aesthetic for fifties dresses. She is never seen without her signature pale pink lipstick and the bare minimum of makeup. The only time she isn’t in her contacts is right before bed or right after she wakes up, finding the chunkiness of her glasses slightly embarrassing as she’s blinder than a bat.

Personality

Amelia is confident in her skill set and willing to put the work in when she needs to. She’s an all or nothing kind of person. Bio

Ames grew up in different foster homes, around 6 in fact. She was unwanted, excluded, rarely cared for, and sadly never really loved. She found the children's story Anne of Green Gables and really resonated with it. Her last foster family she was with for a year, from 17 to 18 and it was right outside of this very town. It’s actually how she met Lydia Landers whom all these years later is the one who got her a job at Lucky Ranch. Ever since she could remember Ames has wanted a family to call her own, to be loved and treasured that way people in books are. She’s had a rough past, when Lydia contacted her she was running from an abusive ex. She’s thrilled for this opportunity and she considers Lydia the grandmother she never had.

: ̗̀➛ iris, as well as all of her family, have almost always worked as servants within the palace. for a time, all she knew was the palace walls. she never took issue with her station in life, enjoying the hard work and the never ending gossip from other servants. her favorite work was always being with the ladies, tending their needs and whims, as it taught her how one spoke if they were of higher station. as a child her and her sister would always play pretend as if they were the ladies and the ladies were the servants, a game that they kept up with until well into their twenties. life began to change when lily caught the eye of a farmer, leading to the great fortune of her getting married and leaving iris and the rest of the family behind. the birth of her nephew, was the start of everything and the end of it all.
: ̗̀➛ the birth of her nephew james was the first and only time iris has ever taken a holiday. she was brimming with excitement to have a few weeks to see lily, james, and benji; her mother the only one to travel with her as the palace couldn’t allow three servants to leave all at once. although the farm lands that benji cared for were only a days carriage ride away, it felt as if the whole world to iris. the first few days of their visit were splendid, that was before the coughing started. benji took ill first, then her mother aspen, and then little baby james. the coughing was an awful sound, but her sister lilys cries were worse. the night her mother died, she had gone out for a walk unable to handle all the sounds and the grief that clung to the very air. she found herself in the wrong place, at the wrong time. it was that very night, two weeks before she was expected back at the palace, that she was turned.
