██hiroto can barely remember a time before his life was turned flipped u
pside down by the eschaton war, beyond the vague memories of his fat
her's smiling face and his mother singing lullabies to his younger broth-
er whenever he had nightmares. the waking world was soon to become
the real nightmare for the shimamoto siblings after they were placed i
n a superhuman refugee camp for their own safety following the death
of their parents, a place where hiroto became a frequent target of bul
lies for his shy, crybaby nature. the only thing keeping him together at
the start was his desire to protect his younger brother daiki, who he tr
ied to shield from the bullying by taking the brunt of it himself. hiro w
as resigned to this misery being the state of his life up until he met kiy
oshi - the first person to ever stand up for him. the pair quickly becam
e fast friends, and for the first time that he could remember, life start
ed looking up for the young superhuman. unfortunately, this sense of p
eace would not last forever, as the refugee camp that had become hir-
o's home would be subject to a desperate blitz attack right at the start
of 2062. at nine years old, the attack cost him the last remaining famil
y he had left as his brother perished in the chaos. hiro almost died him
self, and likely would have if not for BLACKRABBIT operatives i & iii arr
iving in time to help quell the onslaught before it got worse. feeling as
if he was all alone in the world, he looked to his saviors with stars in h
is eyes and decided that he wanted nothing more than to be heroes lik
e them and kiyoshi, who had stood up for hiroto when no one else wou
ld. following the end of the eschaton war, he was taken in by BLACKRA
BBIT where he was granted sanctuary and worked through his trauma r
egarding the loss of his brother and his experiences during the war. thi
s trauma is the primary reason why hiroto was only recently transferre
d to a dept. where he would be deployed in field missions, despite ha-
ving excellent battlefield affinity and high simulation scores. he may b
e shy & bashful, but he's trying his best to be collected like his heroes!
