kenshin, sometimes called ken or kenny despite his protests. pretends like he hates everyone &
everything but maybe he secretly wants to be loved... tall and intimidating, expects people to
move out of his way but lol that's how he highkey ended up kissing one of suzuku's brightest. he
still isn't 100% sure what happened and suffering because of it. constantly feels attacked even if
he's actually trying to help. seems like he's stuck with delinquent status rip. to be fair, got in a
lot of fights at his old school but can own it if he really hunkers down and - wait that's a lie he's
not v smart but he tries!! surprisingly understanding or maybe it's just that nobody takes time to

she wanted to "get a fresh start w/ a new name". born into a gang named royal tiger &
daughter of one of the leaders. always been a trouble child because of upbringing, oft
en ditched school to hang out with other gang members or do jobs. was raised to be lik
e the distraction, smooth talker, and face of the group. extremely good at changing he
r personality, reading others, and negotiating. plays dumb a lot but is actually v sharp,
cunning like a fox. one day, gang got into a big fight with rival group and were defeate
d, survivors disbanded. never knew her mom, but lost father. had a younger brother, d
oesn't know where he is now. tried to find him but he most likely changed his name.

jung sungjae, raised in america for the first seven years of his life. went by eric a
t the time. knows english, rusty from not using it in over a decade. family moved
to korea for dad's work. had a younger sister by four years named sunhee (sunny).
dad died by overworking/fatigue when he was thirteen. ma became depressed, t
urned to alcohol. started to treat them badly. took responsibility for his sister sinc
e their mom was not in any shape to raise two kids. then quit school in hs to get a
job as a grocery store clerk to support sister. mom sent to hospital for liver diseas
e. the nice single mom next door looked after them, but she was also super busy t
aking care of her own kids, so most responsibility fell to sungjae. mom died when
he was nineteen and sister was fifteen. not very long after, sunny was hit by a car
in a freak accident and died. feels like it was all his fault because they had a big f
ight and she went out walking alone. feels guilty and powerless for being unable t
o have been a man for his family. made it his mission to help others now as well a
s find some new purpose for himself. after the funeral for his mom and sister, left
that town for good. wandered a lot, tried to get in contact with old relatives in a
merica. almost made plans to go back but something felt wrong about that. slowl
y started a "family" of his own with three others he met along the way. trying to s
ave them but how can he do that when he can't even save himself? believes that h
e can redeem himself through them, a sad lie he refuses to acknowledge. extreme
ly protective of his friends, would put his life on the line for them at any time. is
happy with them, the first he's felt it in years. doesn't really know what he wants
in life but living in the moment rn. works several odd jobs and still finds time to v
olunteer at an animal shelter in the evenings and/or weekends, comes home cove
red in pet hair all the time. wants to go on an adventure, drive anywhere else wh
ere he won't have bad memories. sometimes gets into fights with the bad guys in
the area because he feels they're threatening his little clan, loses more than he w
ins. fell in love hard but doesn't want to ruin things. a terrible liar, v transparent.
