She's a pale cream-coloured tabby with white accents. Her eyes are a light, forest green. She has soft, thick fur, and a neatly groomed coat. She's a small cat. She isn't very skilled at anything, due to her front left paw, which is twisted awkwardly and leaves her with a permanent and heavy limp, as well as her name. She was born with it, and as her parents were dead, her name was not given kindly, but more due to truth. She decided quickly to take it in stride. She took longer than most to earn her warrior name, but she's great at fishing and tracking despite her limitations.

Slightstep is determined, though she is quiet and respectful, and never voices her opinion without a certain degree of caution. She is also shy and prefers to avoid uncomfortable situations. She follows instructions well, and listens to advice easily. She is a kind cat when she does speak to others, wanting so desperately to help them the way she never was. She is noble and reserved, really, and has the heart of a warrior, and wishes only to be the best she can for her Clan. She tries to be discreet in her decisions, because she doesn't want her true feelings to be known by any cat unless she deeply trusts them. Her capacity to deceive is high, since that's what she does most days, and her moral code isn't very strong, though she is mostly loyal to her Clan. She deeply trusts Chestnutfall, who is her oldest friend and mate.

MORNINGFLOOD

Morningflood has long fur to go with a small, sleek frame. Her fur is thin enough that she doesn't always overheat. She is, most noticeably, a very determined cat. She’s mildly bitter about the past but ignores it and instead focuses on what’s in front of her nose. She’s the epitome of outgoing and understanding whenever she speaks with others. But she knows the harsh reality of life, and has become purely practical in her decisions, sometimes prone to a certain sort of cynical ruthlessness. Her determination and strong will push her forward. Once she's decided on something, she never gives up on it or backs out. She's still a cheery and popular cat despite this, and is good at making friends.

As an apprentice, she was the one who pushed others forward and relentlessly encouraged them. She meant what she said and didn’t take no for an answer. She was a total menace, but a lovable one. At least, until her and Rainjaw almost drowned and the two of them came back as changed cats. She had a new fierceness about her as she insisted she be named for the very thing that almost caused her death. This cemented her belief that preventing possible catastrophes is the most important thing, making her a very devoted warrior. It also means she doesn't regret killing Birchstar, because if she hadn't, he might have killed more cats accidentally.

RAINJAW

Rainjaw is a dilute calico with blue eyes and a pink nose. He isn't very dainty, aside from his small paws, and is built more for sturdiness than anything else. He is a small cat, though. He has a simple, strong frame that helps him keep his balance. Rainjaw is sweet, but he's also pretty quiet. He thinks things over before saying anything. He’s good at solving problems and likes taking on extra responsibility to keep him busy. He’s the sort of cat to have close friends that he cares about a lot, but he isn't really much for socializing unless he has to, so the only cat he speaks to often is his adopted sister, Morningflood. He doesn't like situations where he has to make quick decisions. However, once he's decided something, he can be determinedly stubborn about it.

He completed his warrior assessment with Morningflood, but the two of them ended up not being able to see well since it was raining heavily. They slipped down into the river and almost drowned, returning home much later than expected and having traveled from very far upstream. Rainjaw doesn’t talk about it or the irony of his name and refuses to go near water. He even hates rain and snow and always finds something to keep his paws busy when the weather acts up.

NIGHTSPARK

Her dappled tortoiseshell coat has faded to grayer shades and is ruffled where scars mar her coat from the battles of a warrior. She is still beautiful, though. Nightspark can look like a purely black cat at first glance, hence her name. Her yellow eyes are sharp, which reflect her suffix as well as her personality. She's a small cat, but nonetheless feisty. Her coat is sleek and always well groomed. This is in part because she’s vain, but also just because she doesn’t have much else to do besides take care of herself. Nightspark was always a flirt and still is. In her prime, she loved the attention she was given, but when she matured out more, she realized the cats who were interested in her never acted genuine. So she faded into the background a little and devoted her life to being a loyal warrior. Therefore she has no family in the Clan, but it doesn't bother her, or so she tells herself. She retired somewhat early because she decided she was done and that was that. Now that she's been an elder for long enough to be comfortable in the role, she takes delight in the little things, especially visits from younger cats.

CARAWAYPAW

At her core, Carawaypaw is determined and ambitious, but she is impeded by her indecisiveness about everything. Despite this, she loves learning, and gets stars in eyes just thinking about it. She's always been way too curious for her own good, sometimes sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. She's not very sneaky, though, and isn't graceful at all, which means she absolutely gets caught. As for her family, she loves both her moms, even if she bonds with them over entirely different things. When her siblings fight, she tends to ignore them and avoid getting involved. In fact, Carawaypaw hates conflict in general and avoids it at all costs. She's aggressively pacifistic, which means she doesn't like fighting and will do all in her power to stop it if she thinks it's gone too far. She won't ever start a fight, but she'll try her best to end one.

WOLFGROWL

Wolfgrowl is small, pitch black, with a thick, messy coat, and harsh blue eyes. He has a barely-there voice, which earned him his full name. He's also unable to exert himself physically, at all -- sometimes just taking too long to gather herbs leaves him exhausted. Wolfgrowl was always a little touchy, but with his status, has only become more so. He hates when the irony of his name is pointed out, snaps at anyone who dares breathe a word of teasing in his general direction, and picks fights all the time. He tries his best to keep everyone away from him while still doing his job, though he is rather apathetic about patient's prospects and will absolutely instigate others and escalate things until they're out of hand. He's very spiteful at life in general, despite knowing that he's lucky he survived. Wolfgrowl has a heart somewhere, deep down, but when it comes to romance, he's very open about his absolute lack of care for the cats he spends time with. Ultimately, he's just really, really sad and tired, and has somehow pushed it all beneath a mask of prickliness and scathing remarks that he never means but also never takes back.

Wolfgrowl's family died from an unnamed illness that they, in particular, were susceptible to, and which left Wolfpaw barely alive. When he did eventually pull through, he learned that he couldn't recall any of his training, his parents and two older siblings were dead, and he wasn't going to be able to start training again any time soon. He ended up picking up the herbs used by the old medicine cat, Ferndapple, remarkably fast. He begrudgingly accepted his role as the next medicine cat when she died and the Clan was left scrambling and he still could barely stand for more than a moment at a time, but he knew all the herbs like the back of his paw. Since he was stuck in the medicine cat den with nothing to do for so long, he has all sorts of dirt on everyone in the Clan, and doesn't fail to use that information when need be. He still resents his role, but he does it, and deep down, he knows he never really cared that much about being a warrior anyway, he's just spiteful that the choice was taken from him.
