Inei Jinja could be described as being paranoid with the way he keeps to himself, he often prefers to be alone and is sixty percent of the time quiet. Despite his quiet personality he can be brazen as well, lets just say he doesn't handle his anger well. This causes others to not have much trust in the boy, people often assume he's too extreme, going from quiet to angry too quickly. This assumption isn't completely correct though; people just easily get on his nerves, if people weren't so irritating he'd probably be a lot quieter. Despite this he is quite intelligent and doesn't have a hesitant bone in his body. He won't hesitate to act or tell someone how it is. Inei used to look up to his older sibling though since their recent incident he no longer wishes to think of his sibling's fate too often. He'd rather pretend they didn't exist, mostly for his sanity, or lack thereof, since they're extremely ill. He enjoys spending his time fighting his own demons, coming up with awful puns, and pulling the strings of his favorite puppet.

⊰ ─ maxton bell was raised by his aunt, his parents died a premature death at the hands of a drunk driver. Despite this Maxton was raised by his loving aunt who was always spending her time in her study reading about something. The woman never seemed to need sleep as she'd read all throughout the night, it was her way of escaping her reality; a life without her sister. Maxton was luckily fast asleep at home when his parents met their end. Maxton felt bad for the older woman and did himself and her a favor; he asked her to teach him about all that she loved to read about. This was of course the perfect solution for the both of them, his aunt treated him as if he was her child. Maxton treated the woman as his mother, both relying on one another to be each other's only family. Both Maxton and his aunt love history, either magical or just world history, they both will often have lengthy debates about history.

Essentially what i'm trying to get at is that YOU are the end and beginning of the universe. The universe isn't separate from us, or us from it. That we are the god/goddess, that we are awareness itself. Here's a quote that I feel explains it perfectly.

We are all made up of the same matter but look different; we're all connected to one another and it makes me understand others on a human level. I struggled with this for a long time, I didn't truly grasp the concept of other people being real, having more depth to them than just the surface. I find myself being kinder and more open to others and possibilities. I feel whole? Like I've come home?

This role-play is inspired by the book series by Leigh Bardugo.
The role play will diverge from canon but will stay pretty true to the books!

!! spoilers !!!


Plot:
Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of three refugees. The three demonstrate their [unknown to themselves] powers when their regiment is attacked by the volcara on the fold. Wrenched from everything they know, the three are whisked away to the royal court to be trained as members of the Grisha, the magical elite led by the mysterious Darkling. Yet nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. With darkness looming and an entire kingdom depending on their untamed powers.


There will be two summoners, an undecided number of trackers, and those who are Grisha on the three's side helping them track the amplifiers they need (the antlers, feathers, and the last amplifier).



[Ravka is a nation bordered by Fjerda to the north, Shu Han to the south, and the True Sea to the west.]



The Fold:
The Shadow Fold was a section of nearly impenetrable darkness that grew every year and contained volcra among other unnamed horrors. The Shadow Fold, located in the once rich Tula Valley, cuts directly across the Vy, a wide road that once stretched across the land connecting Os Alta to the port cities on Ravka's western coast.

On maps, the Shadow Fold was shown as a long, narrow lake, a stain, and sometimes just a bleak and shapeless cloud. The Fold is often labeled by its other name the Unsea intended to put soldiers and merchants at ease and encourage crossings. Animals were too noisy and easily scared for travel on the Fold, so crossings were made on sandskiffs with enormous sails that skated almost soundlessly over the dead grey sands. Traversing the Fold was the only way to provide a landlocked Ravka of critical supplies. And so skiffs were always loaded with grain, timber and raw cotton, and on the way back they would be stocked with sugar, rifles and all manner of finished goods passing through the seaports of West Ravka.

personality; is a little bit of a moody teenager, though he likes to consider himself completely out of that phase, he is a vampire after all so he doesn't age normally like everyone else so he likes to think he's mature but he's really not. He is very stubborn and set in his ways, his ways of being alone and only seeking someone out when he really couldn't handle the thirst anymore. He loves to procrastinate and worry over things he really doesn't need to, he also is very good at finding weird hiding spots and - for some odd reason - loves to eavesdrop on others' conversations, he's a real loner so he likes to just observe.
past; lived with his mother all his life, he'd never actually met his grandparents until maybe a month ago and it was like an awkward family reunion that didn't go well, nor had the capacity to ever go well. There was too much that was said that he didn't understand or was aware of, but all he knew is that his grandparents suggested he lived with them and his mother moved him away. Before coming to school most of his time was spent in the countryside living in his mother's mansion, his only friend and pet Jericho the hamster kept him company most of the time. He used to have a friend when he was much younger but it ended up never working out even though they had grown close. So his only true friend was a hamster, books from his mother's library, and the paintbrushes his mother gifted to him.

etherial lyr, the silent prince × physically, black hair, dark eyes, standing at 6′ 0″ × though when he wants he can appear with slight differences × there is some debate over some of his qualities within the general public, as he can appear differently to everyone at times as long as he wants or needs to × he wouldn't say he was liked by the majority of his people but he couldn't change that nor had the time to × nicknamed the silent prince due to his faraway expression and his ability to communicate telepathically, which he often didn't even do, he could manipulate others by just plaguing them with emotion × when he was younger and unable to control it he had the bad habit of letting his emotions seep into others ; if he was throwing a fit, those nearest to him would find themselves unable to contain their own anger × as a way to pass time and confuse everyone around him he projected an image of himself in the mind's of the unsuspecting, making himself appear differently than what he truly looked like × when he kept himself in check he only used his power as information for others (and himself), when he let it run wild he used it to cause other's to feel and see things that weren't truly there × his only real limitations to this was that if someone was far enough away he couldn't enter their mind, and if there were cameras he obviously couldn't alter his appearance which was the cause of his avoidance of such things × he could also only use his power - depending on what he was doing- for a short amount of time and on only a certain number of people at the same time × if he was editing his appearance he could easily do this for hours, and it didn't matter how many people were under his alteration × but if he was making others feel an emtion or worse, pain, then it vaired × pain, he could only force this upon someone for five minuets at a time × emtions, if strong enough could effect anyone close enough × strong enough emtions could effect everyone in a five mile raduis at most × tries to keep his emtions in check, thus the nickname, the silent prince
