Mavis was born 21 years ago in Haworth, New Jersey. She spent the first 4 years of her life powerless, not knowing the abilities locked deep within her. After a particularly bad night’s sleep where she had a nightmare, Mavis can recall waking up in pain - and when her mother came in to check on her, her mother screamed and ran from the room. Only recently, did Mavis realise that was the first time she had shifted forms… Mavis was abandoned soon after in a city she didn’t know. She was taken into the foster care system, where she spent the next 14 years of her life being abused, neglected or downright ignored by families. She didn’t sleep well in fear she would wake up and scare them again. The perks of being awake most nights, and only taking naps during the day, was that the girl could explore her abilities and learn to understand them. As soon as Mavis aged out of the system, she began working. ‘’The Theatre Cafe’’ it was called. This was a place where Mavis really began to thrive. She sang and danced, and at night - crashed in hostels, or with her coworkers. Soon, it was discovered that her coworkers were inhumans too, and the Theatre Cafe a safe haven for inhumans to come. At night, the cafe becomes a speakeasy, where only trusted folk are invited. The first time Mavis was invited, she ended up revealing her powers to them and now has become a very valued member of their team. She is known amongst her co-workers as someone who fights the ICCCD officers, however, this fact is kept under wraps and is rarely discussed.

Telekinesis Abilities:
- Basic Telekinesis: Move objects with her mind (push, pull, drag, throw, levitate, block).
- Instinctive Reaction: Automatically stop falling items if noticed in time.
Telekinetic Weapon Wielding: Uses knives in close combat, kept and retrieved via telekinesis.
Combat Use: Fighting with telekinesis is tiring and risky, used only for stealthy disarmament or incapacitation.
Limitations and Drawbacks:
Physical Strain: Nosebleeds, exhaustion, fainting, bruising, bloodshot eyes, ear bleeding, and risk of stroke from overuse. Perception-Based: Can only affect objects she sees. Momentum Limitation: Cannot affect fast-moving objects.
Psychological Factors: Weakened by stress, fear, distractions, and lack of confidence. Emotional Influence: Strong emotions or dreams can trigger or block her powers. Concentration Requirement: Requires intense focus, hindering multitasking. Overuse Consequences: Severe physical toll, needing immediate rest to avoid permanent damage.
Mitigation of Overuse: - Satiation: Rest and nourishment delay but do not prevent negative effects.

Mavis has the ability to shift into a demonic form, enhancing her instincts and senses. This form
reflects her protective nature towards her close companions, whom she privately refers to as her
"flock". Her "legion" as her instincts call it - are other inhumans who are fighting the same battle
as her. She does not trust them as much as her flock. Mavis instinctively and fiercely protects her
flock, especially children, even to the point of self-sacrifice.
Moderately Heightened Senses: When shifted, Mavis can hear slightly better, see sharper,
and smell much stronger. Slightly Increased Reflexes: Her adrenaline boosts her reaction
time, giving her a slight edge in combat.Strength and Height Alterations: In her demon
form, Mavis grows about 2 inches taller and becomes leaner, enhancing her physical strength,
though still within human limits.Voices in Her Head: Mavis constantly hears voices
targeting her insecurities, both in human and demon form.
Instincts: She has strong protective instincts towards her legion and an even stronger
drive to protect her flock. Her flock sees both her human and demon sides. She releases
pheromones detectable by other demons but not by humans.
Instincts: Mavis feels a sense of wariness towards her legion, focusing on their
protection during battles. The loss of any member causes her to mourn deeply. She
would go to extreme lengths, including taking bullets, to protect her flock. If her
flock is in danger, her instincts take over, making it challenging to reason with her unless another flock member is present. Mavis prioritises the safety of children above all, willing to sacrifice herself to protect them. If she ever has children, they would become her highest priority, surpassing even her current flock members.
Shifting: Shifting is painful and occurs more easily when emotions run high. She feels her body redistribute, feathers and bony structures pushing out. Her body temperature and heart rate drop, making the form unsustainable for more than an hour unless she consumes a higher level of calories. In demon form, she can see better in the dark, provided she has no vitamin deficiencies or eye injuries.
Overuse:Increased Pain: Frequent shifting causes more pain and can lead to bone fractures. Intensified Voices: The voices in her head become harder to suppress. Fatigue: Overuse leads to severe fatigue, affecting her sleep and appetite. She requires 10-15
hours of deep sleep to recover, usually only achievable when safe among her flock.
