back and forth between two specific songs -- one of the songs increases
the speed of his companions near him, while the other song gradually
heals them over time. he doesn't carry a gun on him, but rather his
weapon is a sound amplifier that he can use to send enemies flying
backward with a blast of sound; or he can hit foes with sonic projectiles.

sense of humor that becomes increasingly more clear the more time you
spend with her-- she has no qualms or hesitations when it comes to discussing
life and death in extremely blunt terms, and there are few things that can shock
or faze her. each moment she's not bogged down with work is spent in leisurely
ways, doing what hu tao pleases when hu tao pleases. it may seem like she
would even be the type to slack off when it comes to genuine work, but that's
one area hu tao excels in. she does everything in her power to make sure her
job is executed flawlessly; the young funeral director believes that every person
deserves a proper send off, no matter what walks of life they come from.

that also increasing her attack rate while her special attack has her
swinging around a pyro spirit that can harm multiple enemies at once.

mizuto is a user of a technique he came up with on his own, referred to as "breath of waves". it is a direct
derivative of water breathing; the most noticeable differences being that wave breathing is much more forceful
and brutish in its attacks. where water breathing is more about adapting to the foe's movements and surroundings
just as water takes the shape of its container, wave breathing takes the intense force of the ocean and its under-
currents to turn tides in his favor. he had previously trained to learn the techniques of water breathing from his
mother, who was once a demon slayer in her younger years. though despite his best efforts he could never excel
much beyond a beginners' level of proficiency. he was deeply troubled about this for much of his childhood as his
grandfather was once the water pillar and he aimed to follow in the same footsteps. thus, breath of waves was
created. mizuto takes great pride in his breathing style and is set on the path of becoming the first "wave pillar".
he was gifted his grandfather's old haori and wears it as encouragement that he is going down the right path.

mizuto has a strong and steadfast personality, one that some may describe as "difficult to ignore"—not always as
a compliment, though he would see it as one. he's rather confident and proud when it comes to his abilities which
causes him to often times have an air of arrogance. that aside he's most commonly seen in a mostly playful mood;
teasing and prodding his fellow demon slayers, whether it be with affectionate-though-usually-unwelcome nicknames
or physically leaning on and poking at them. he's also not above attempts at goading other slayers into sparring with
him when left under-stimulated and to his own devices for too long. mizuto can often come off as a shameless flirt to
just about anyone, even to enemy demons mid-battle, without necessarily intending to—which causes him to have a
sort of playboy image. while not exactly the truth, he doesn't plan to curb his quirks any time soon. he struggles to maintain
a serious composure for too long, even in more dire situations. well-equipped to handle a high amount of pressure and
stress, mizuto is able to keep up an image of rarely trying "too" hard. sometimes glimpses of cracks can be caught, often
in brief flashes of his hatred for demons or in his frustration and desperation when learning new breathing forms.

fumino is the current wind pillar, having mastered the breath of wind technique before becoming hashira at
eighteen. while becoming a demon slayer wasn't fumino's original dream for life, she was pushed into it with a
deep wish for vengeance against the demons after losing her first love as a teenager, a girl name ayame. the
floral haori she wears once belonged to ayame and she now considers it one of her most prized possessions. she
is always happy and quite eager to train younger and lower-ranking slayers, keeping a constant eye out for any
potential tsuguko she could take on. despite her passion to teach and guide others, she can be a strict teacher
who will push her pupils to the very limit and sometimes even beyond that. once she sees someone's potential
she won't give up until it's reached. she has a habit of carrying a flask of sake on her person at nearly all times.

fumino has the appearance of someone who is very placid and calm, she can be pretty chatty but is perfectly
comfortable with long periods of silence. taking care of others is something that comes naturally to her, almost
finding it impossible to stop herself from extending a hand even if it's a pointless action. despite that, she isn't
someone who would let herself be used as a doormat, more than capable of defending herself or companions
when the time calls for it. however, in her day to day life she is an extremely forgetful person. fumino often
has to tie small colorful ribbons to her fingers to help herself remember certain plans or tasks throughout the
day, though usually she ends up forgetting what ribbon was tied to what task. she also has a tendency to display
eccentric behaviors and blunt attitudes—sometimes coming off as off-putting to her fellow slayers. she doesn't
mind that though, unfazed by others' opinions. her demeanor completely flips when in the presence of a demon.
in battles she tends to be hyper-focused on her targets, nothing but pure hatred in her eyes for the enemy.

kai's family comes from australia, because of that he still speaks with an accent,

takei is one of the more chill and approachable second years
at shujin academy. he doesn't have much trouble when it comes
to making friends -- or enemies, for that matter -- takei is
definitely someone who occasionally runs his mouth a bit
more than he probably should. that's just because he has no
issues with standing up for what he believes in, and he will
stick to his guns no matter what; even if it's at times when
he's disagreeing with his own friends. when he is comfortable
with his own friends, however, he is very sociable and friendly;
always giving them his own "fun" nicknames and teasing them.
takei wouldn't even pass up the opportunity to tease someone
he's fond of or to give them a harmless prank. takei studies hard,
but he's not the best with testing; math and english are his two
weakest subjects.

takei grew up practicing and training the art kendo at his father's
request, and now, while quite the prodigy in the sport, his father
wants him to pursue it further into university and beyond. takei
doesn't mind the sport, but has no real interest in it, though he is
continuously pressured to train for it by his father. takei has no
issue with speaking his mind to just about anyone, but his father
so he has yet to gather the nerve to tell him that he is no longer
interested in pursuing the sport into adulthood -- this is partially
what helped him awaken his rebellious spirit in the metaverse.

even untactful due to her extreme interest in
whatever information she can get her hands on, though

if told to. nanami is a very skilled photographer and
takes great pride in her work. she usually comes off
as quite cheerful and sometimes even oblivious --
which is just a show; nanami is very observant and
able to pick up on the mood or unspoken cues that
people give off. she's good at noticing when someone
is lying to her, even if she doesn't always call them
out on it. once befriended, nanami is actually quite
loyal and she's always careful to treat her own people
well and with great respect. underneath her outgoing

girl who misses her mother and is worried over the
future with these new widespread mental shut down

nanami's mother was also a reporter,
and she had been closely following the
new cases of mental shutdowns that had
started appearing once again -- trying to
find the link between all the mysterious
"freak accidents". after her own mother
experienced a mental shutdown, that was
when nanami took an interest in the cases
herself and started looking into them. her
constant snooping and sneaking around is
what caused her to figure out who the new
phantom thieves are. she's struck a deal with
them -- they help her with looking into the
mental shutdown cases, and she helps them
keep up a good reputation around school.
she also makes excuses for the crew to teachers
whenever they need to sneak off during school
hours. nanami also lends them the school paper
club room after school on days that there are
no meetings. she's become quite friendly with
the group, and is hoping to convince them to
let her tag along on a mission with them one
of these days.

hairpin: causes the nails to erupt with an explosive force.
resonance: using the straw doll and an organic piece of her

her fighting style requires a special breathing pattern that she's
named "love breathing", and most regularly uses mid to long-range
attacks with her whip-like sword. love breathing currently has six
different forms and techniques she can use -- each form named
after something related to love and/or cats.
