i’m trying to create a new sig but when i try to put the image in all it’s coming up with is the word image in a box, im using imgur idk what i’m doing wrong

@ph0enicks it would help if you could post the link and code that you're trying to use so we can see it, to help identify the problem. but the most likely issue here is that you're linking to the page the image is on, rather than the image itself. make sure that the link ends in .png .jpg or .gif - direct image links should almost always end in those, so if it doesn't, then you're probably using the wrong link (there are some exceptions, but the vast majority of image links are going to end in one of those)

for imgur specifically, make sure you are using either the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" link (or the "direct link" if you want to add the [img] tags yourself). do not use the "image link" option though, that will direct you to the page, not the image

ex. this is the image link option, which is the page the image is on: https://imgur.com/RFrr3q1

meanwhile this is the direct link (and the link that will be used in the BBCode option as well), which is the link to the actual image (note that it ends in .jpg): https://i.imgur.com/RFrr3q1.jpg

and to get the right link for non-imgur images, you will need to right click the image and select "copy image address" (or "copy image location" depending on your device) and use that link

unfortunately quote boxes just tend to stretch across the page if there isn't another quote box or code next to it to shorten it. for example, the "items" quote is preventing the "cloud coins" one from stretching, so this will happen with any of the quote boxes if the one next to it is removed. a way to somewhat fix this is if you added something to the right of your existing quotes.

i didn't even realize that! so thank you for that tip. however, due to how their code is, i don't think it's possible to do this with the quotes that are actually stretching because not all the column and quote tags line up.

hey guys, i recently heard that imgur is going to stop anonymous image hosting next month, meaning that because i didn't create the images under an account with them, my signature is going to completely break... and they require you to give them your phone number to create an account, so there's no way i'm doing that lol. what alternative sites do you guys use?
