This is probably a silly question, but how is there any way to indent text without using a list? Also, is there anyway to have formatting within lists? I've been trying to make the font be coloured, but it breaks whenever it's within a list. Apologies if this is an obvious question!

most people just tend to use transparent text for indenting, ex. [ color=transparent]xxxxxxxx[/color ]

list tags shouldn't break your code for example, i'm using list tags in this post, and the text colors fine. are you checking the hex code to make sure it's valid? having a character over in a hex will cause it to break, as will an invalid code.

Thank you for the help! On the latter, it was on me. Put a space between the hex code and the equals. My bad!

No, there is no way to overlay text on an image - you would have to edit the text to be part of the image, using another program.

hey all, i was just wondering if code displays differently in dark mode vs other site themes for any of you (specifically, with wide codes)?

i was looking through some of my old codes when i noticed they would seemingly display differently depending on the theme (presumably, because the edge of the dark mode posts ends where other themes have a border/padding, giving dark mode wider posts).

i've gone ahead and made a suggestion thread for this (i hope this is okay to crosspost, if not, let me know and i'll remove the link!), so if anyone else has noticed this and would like for it to be made consistent/changed, feel free to chime in. :-)

Is there any reason why my signature is off-center in the middle box? It was looking fine some time ago but now I suddenly noticed it's towards the right. I did read the tutorial posts about the formation of the box but when I try centering within (the way it says to do, I think) it messes it up completely. Help would be appreciated! Here's the code:

• i took a look at your code, and i think i fixed the issue? it looks better on my screen, but if you have issues with it let me know. it seemed as if you were using transparent 'x's to center the text in your box, when you can actually a center alignment on the text for boxes. now, as far as i know, the top line has to be full for the centering to look right. if i'm wrong on that someone can correct me. but, yeah! it's much easier and definitely a little less tedious than using all that transparent text sjhskdf
