What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

I really love the idea of hiking and camping, maybe in the Appalachias? So much mystery around mountains older than bones…

would like to reiterate that i am not fond of the cryptid idea as it tends to drift into cultural insensitivity with indigenous cultures very fast, such as the misuse of the w*ndigo and thunderbird among others. while obviously some cryptids are completely fine, i don't like the theme in general due to how much it tends to toe the line or even outright cross it a lot of times.

I agree, someone needs to bring this to one of the mods' attention. I really wish we had a Chupacabra pet in this game though...

I agree as well. I also feel like it would be spooky pets and we already get those at Halloween and I’d like to keep the variety. Not to say we can’t have any spooky pets for the summer event but a whole theme around it just feels like it’s encroaching on Halloween. Maybe if we stick with a camping theme instead of a solely urban legend theme, we can mostly stay away from the cryptid while still doing a couple things based on cryptids that are not culturally insensitive.

I keep seeing camping/cryptid event but wasnt Fae Mischief in 2019 exactly that? We had griffins, unicorns, and so forth in it, and were definitely camping somewhere with woodland/insect/mushroom stuff? I would much prefer it if we had some cool new theme rather than expanding on previous summer events and general "camping" was certainly used before.

There were many cool new topics suggested - superheroic, japanese, steampunk, apocalypse, future, etc. Something we havent had before. I would personally be upset if we got another "camp somewhere - meet woodland/mountain cryptids" event. 2019 was one! There are so many interesting new ideas there is no need to repeat.

So I guess, adding to my first post - a dream event would be something new. Something we havent had before. Repeats can be left for further years when more unique topics are explored, for now, there's still a vast assortment of topics we never had before in a summer event. Its too early to be repeating and revisiting, when there's so many ideas we've never explored!

I'd be upset, too. A lot of what people have been saying has already been done, to a degree.
I really want to see an event with the scenecore aesthetic be done, and I will keep asking for it until the end of time.

Same here, with Japanese theme. I wanted it since after the first summer event was made, every new year hoping this time it'd be Japan-themed!
If there was another "camp in the woods" like in 2019, it'd feel very repetetive compared to an ocean of new stuff we could be doing.

The cryptids don't necessarily have to be "real" cryptids though. I was talking with some other players and we joked about a Totoro bigfoot.

To go into more depth about the camping and cryptids, I see some people are claiming we've kind of done it before. I'd like to argue that we haven't. We haven't had campfires, tents, and stargazing. We could have dwarf hamsters that look like camping foods, such as s'mores. We could have pets based on the stars because who doesn't stargaze when they are camping? We could have an RV be one of the sites with NPCs. The main "antagonist" could be some weird noise in the trees that turns out to be Totoro-foot! Just some more ideas.

But those traits would be the only "unique" part about the event, because the other parts of camping we already had. We had camping in the woods, we had exploring the forests and meeting the inhabitants, we had gathering flowers and firewood, etc. We already had star pets in Alien event, and so forth! That's what I mean by "repetetive". Just a few more "new" pets does not make it unique if we already had the basic idea before. So no, I disagree. We certainly had camping before. It did not include certain specifics, but it was there - adding again a camping event for a few more new additions does not count as "new" theme.

I’d like to see something like a traveling rock show/music tour? Music and instrument items, speakers and mics, a stage, confetti, stage lights, glow sticks, “merch” and fan/audience member items for dress up scenes- fun outfits and accessories! Each place could maybe have different music genres with corresponding items and pets? Just ideas!

Idk could be labeled as the “Summer Grand Tour Event” or something!

I don't think I've seen the Wild West suggested yet! I think there is a lot of potential for an event themed around that.
