As for the time I don't recall, but at least and hour trying out different pieces. Mostly just adding some things during breaks from other tasks.
The feet are a mixture of grass items, candles, white chocolate hearts, and pieces from a free cake decorating set and konpeitō items. Those small pieces can definitely go a long way!
