What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

I'm not sure how to phrase it but I think a micro event would be cool! Like being shrunk and exploring a garden, you could have bugs and large plants (like tree size grass) as items! (i just want more bug items lol)
Also seconding a surrealist event, that'd be amazing

This may be a bit more mundane but I’d love a summer on the farm event. Like if you were to spend the summer helping out an aunt or uncle and learn all about farm life and chores but also having fun and adventures.

Omg, I also love the micro pet suggestion. That would be fun!

I feel like it would be an awesome throwback for the older players and a great chance for newer players to get to experience events that they unfortunately missed.

I love this! Altho I think would be more appropriate for a big CS birthday year like 20th year or something and then the summer event can be big, huge and fun!
Like, I'd like a LOT of planning and thought to go into this idea so it'd need at least a year of planning imo otherwise it'd not be able to be a love letter to CS and all its past event pets and summer events properly. Like this idea done well will take a LOT of time, and the last thing I'd want is for this to be missed potential.



So for this year my personal vote goes to a CS Bake Off. Disaster has struck and Totoro has misplaced the funds for the Summer Event, and so we must travel to the nearest city (with what little funds we have left) and hold a fundraiser, selling cupcakes, cookies, pies, hotdogs, fairyfloss, and we could have a stand off with the mayor/we forgot to get a permit for our fundraiser...maybe it turns out the original funds hadn't been lost at all, but instead stolen!! So we have to do a mystery detective work to find the thief and then evidence so they go to jail. Like Phoenix Wright style or something.
I think a visit to a big city could be a lot ot fun and hold a lot of potential esp with the fundraiser involved, we could do dress ups involving past food items and submit the look to then count towards the funds raised and such.

I don't have a specific theme in mind currently, but I'd love if we had another more story focused Summer Event, the one I vividly remember being more story driven is the Ancient Egypt, so it'd be nice for it to occur again, as the other years have felt lower stakes.

Omg yes! Our relentless shipping of two NPCs was canonized and earned us 2nd gen pets. What a time to be on CS! To create that kind of storytelling again would be magical.

Also as a writer I am always hungry for good lore.

My favourite events were the Slumber Party event and the Egypt Event, they had fantastic story lines and really drew you in. There has been some great bits of story since, like in the Internet Event and the rainforest event, but as amazing and fun as they were, I was hoping for a bit more meat to the story if that makes sense? Lore is my favourite part about the Summer Event and it's SUPER important to me no matter what theme is picked I really really want the storyline to be fleshed out and to be a big focus.

I think a goosebumps style summer camp in the woods were things gradually got creepier and we tried to solve a mystery, is it cryptids in the local forest? Aliens abducting campers? Or maybe we were the monsters all along. Idk something like that might be fun though!

I would LOVE a pirate / undersea adventure sort of event with some lore / mystery as well. The concept being that we're helping out a team who are exploring a sunken shipwreck - but we're also somehow 'transported' back in time to when the ship was seaworthy, and are able to meet the crew and find out why the ship sunk in the first place (which in turn helps the explorers to discover more of the ship's secrets)

Pet Ideas / Themes / Concepts;
- Mastheads (a litter from each 'timeline', to show them both new and broken / decayed
- Being taken over by coral
- Ocean waves / colors
- Maps (in various states of wear and tear)
- Sharks (various types, but sand tiger sharks are most common around shipwrecks)
- Sea monsters / krakens
- Mermaids
- Sea birds / gulls
- Anchor-ish, somehow?
- Sea creatures (that are mostly commonly found around / living in shipwrecks)

Item Ideas;
- Maps
- Doubloons / coins
- Treasure chest (closed, open + empty, open + filled)
- Flags
- Bits and bobs you'd find on deck (coils of rope, mop + bucket, cannonballs, barrels, tin mugs etc)
- Pieces of ship debris
- Clothing (anything vaguely nautical / 'pirate-y')
- BG pack (on deck, captain's quarters past + present, underwater wreck)
- Coral / rocks / seaweed
- Maybe some wooden ship replicas, or ships in bottles?
- Weapons (new and old); different types of swords and daggers, etc
- Sea life plushies?

I love love love this. I think with cryptids, it'll be important to be sensitive since a lot of cryptids come from different cultures and religions and are often very disrespectfully portrayed buuuut more mothman pets? Sign me up! Fishing hats and camping tents? Perfection. You're a genius.

tokens could even be fairytale / hansel & gretel style sweets that as the event progresses leads us to a mysterious house in the woods…
