------->to the untrained eye, renir austin laroche is the greatest friend a guy could have. he can seriously party and knows his was around a girl's heart. his spicy on again, off again relationship with jane myers is a real life soap opera (it makes almost hard to believe he is only a sophomore). his canyon-deep pockets are never ending, and he has justin beiber on speed dial. convinced? well don't be. upon closer inspection of mr. laroche, one would be able to point out the faintest of cracks in his mask. and if you looked even harder, you may even be able to see the truth hidden behind that pretty facade. that ren is only skin deep. that on the inside lay a selfish individual who cares about no one but himself and uses his parent's money to glide through life's troubles. that he won't hesitate to manipulate people for his own personal gain, for in the long run he's in it for himself and himself alone. not even his own mother and father mean a whole lot to him. the same sense of carelessness is mutual between parent and child, so wonder renir is the way he is.

------->in all honesty, ren was an accident; his birth had never been planned nor desired. his parents were in the middle of looking for abortion clinics when it was leaked into the press that the laroche's were expecting. the sudden hype and instant popularity of the baby is the only reason ren is here today. the most twisted part? ren knows it. he knows what was to happen to him had it not been for the public's interest. now that he is self sufficient, ren is, for the most part, unacknowledged. elliot and cordelia laroche are big fans of the philosophy of throwing money at a problem in order to avoid dealing with it themselves, ergo their son's outrageous disrespect for anything or, quite frankly, anyone. (i mean he's already crashed two porches since he got his license four months ago. and poof, just like that he has another one.) they don't care where he goes, what he does, or the amount of money he spends. as long as he smiles for the cameras when beckoned, ren is completely off leash.

"you don't have to ask; i already know you want to know more about me. i mean who wouldn't? i'm just so great. my name is circus. circus marie sovereign. awesome right? its so much better than that name my parents gave me. nicole. ugh. i'm worth so much more than that boring title. so i decided to call myself circus because i'm always the center of attention. the doctors say it sure fits me well. i'm seventeen years old. they say my birthday is only once a year on october twenty seventh, but i personally think it should be celebrated every day. i don't have any brothers or sisters. well, at least i don't think i do. its been a while since my dad brought me here to xavier's psychiatric hospital for the mentally disturbed, so i'm not sure what he's been up to. he doesn't visit anymore, which kind of makes me sad. but then i look in the mirror and i'm happy again. besides, he's probably still getting over what happened to mom. yeah, my mom died. burned to death in a fire. the whole apartment complex was up in smoke. did you know i was the one who set it? don't listen to the doctors. i'm not crazy. i'm perfect. playing with fire is just an innocent hobby. its not like i meant to kill anyone."

❧ Personality: "I'm perfect. I have absolutely no flaws in my personality. I'm the perfect person. I'm nice, smart, funny- the whole package. Contrary to what Circus says, she is by far from a good person. She is self-obsessed and lack empathy for anyone but herself. Its hard to hold a conversation with her because you'll just want to smack her for the things she says. She can't accept anyone's ideas but her own. She is cocky, arrogant, rude, sharp-tongued, and sneaky. Bottom line is, watch your self when you're around her. She can be totally fine one minute, and the next she might be trying to kill you.

History: "Ahh, the past. Let me start from the beginning. I was born in Dallas, Texas to Aaron and Lindsey Sovereign. I grew up as an only child, had lots of friends. High school came around, and so did my purpose in life. Sure, I started to loose friends. People said I was too rude and selfish. I don't care though. I still got people's approval and attention. When I was fifteen, I found a lighter outside my apartment. Just touching it sent chills of excitement up my spine. I began starting small fires in my backyard, then moved up to parks and ally ways. My biggest accomplishment, however, was when I set my apartment on fire. I can't explain the feeling I got watching the flames jump- just that it was exhilarating. I didn't realize it at the time as I watched from the parking lot, but my mother happened to be inside when the fire blazed. She was burned to death. Not my fault though. She should have been paying attention. My life got kind of boring after that. Police came, arrested me for murder and arson. Blah, blah, paperwork, my lawyer pleaded insanity instead of jail time and bam- I'm dumped into this place. Its alright, but they won't even let me have a lighter here! Can you believe that?"

Pyromania:
- Someone suffering from this disorder deliberately and purposely sets fires on more than one occasion, and before the act of lighting the fire the person usually experiences tension and an emotional buildup. When around fires, a person suffering from pyromania gains intense interest or fascination and may also experience pleasure, gratification or relief. Another long term contributor often linked with pyromania is the buildup of stress. When studying the lifestyle of someone with pyromania, a buildup of stress and emotion is often evident and this is seen in teens' attitudes towards friends and family. At times it is difficult to distinguish the difference between pyromania and experimentation in childhood because both involve pleasure from the fire.

❧ Prescription{s}: Pyromania:
- The appropriate treatment for pyromania varies with the age of the patient and the seriousness of the condition. For children and adolescents treatment usually is cognitive behavioral therapy sessions in which the patient’s situation is diagnosed to find out what may have caused this impulsive behavior. Once the situation is diagnosed, repeated therapy sessions usually help continue to a recovery. Other important steps must be taken as well with the interventions and the cause of the impulse behavior. Some other treatments measures include, parenting training, over-correction/satiation/negative practice with corrective consequences, behavior contracting/token reinforcement, special problem-solving skills training, relaxation training, overt sensitization, fire safety and prevention education, individual and family therapy, and medication.

- Schema Therapy, a form of therapy developed by Jeffrey Young that integrates several therapeutic approaches, also offers an approach for the treatment of NPD. It is unusual for people to seek therapy for NPD. Unconscious fears of exposure or inadequacy often cause defensive disdain of therapeutic processes. Pattern change strategies, over a long period of time, are for the narcissist to work on increasing their ability to become more empathetic in everyday relationships. To help modify their sense of entitlement and self-centeredness schema is to help them identify how to utilize their unique talents and to help others rather than for their own personal gain. This is not going to change their self-perception of their "entitlement" feeling but more so help them empathize with others. Another type of treatment would be temperament change.
Anger, rage, impulsivity and impatience can be worked on with skill training. Medication can also be an effective addition if needed. Anxiety disorders and somatoma dysfunctions are prevalent but the most common would be depression. Medication can be extremely beneficial when treating the disorder with regular therapy. Medications to help reduce impulsivity, depression, and anger (along with skilled training) will help the person create interpersonal relationships, be less impulsive, be less angry, and treat the depression/anxiety.
Group treatment has its benefits as the effectiveness of receiving peer feedback rather than the clinician’s may be more accepted, but group therapy can also contradict itself as the patient may show "demandingness, egocentrism, social isolation and withdrawal, and socially deviant behavior." Relationship therapy stresses the importance of learning and applying four basic interpersonal skills: "effective expression, empathy, discussion and problem solving/conflict resolution." Marital/relationship therapy is most beneficial when both partners participate.

»-history;; Paradox was taken from her old life in Austin, Texas at the age of 13. She was Morgan Jays then. Her life was great. Perfect even. She was an honor-roll student and the picture perfect daughter. Never did anything wrong, got only the best from her parents in return. One autumn day she was walking home from school. A nice-looking man stopped her and asked for help finding his dog down an ally way. As the model citizen she was, she agreed to help. That was the worst mistake of her life. She was kidnapped. Waking up in the Area was probably the scariest thing ever for her to experience. Well, up until that point anyway. When the Scientists came to greet their new subject, she tried her best to plead and reason with them. They didn't oblige, obviously. They strapped her down and injected some type of thick reddish venom into her arms, legs, sides, and neck. She pain was excruciating. Her entire body burned for weeks. Then something happened one day. The pain... it just... disappeared. Paradox, still Morgan then, was relieved. Her relief was short-lived. As soon as it appeared he was no longer in pain, the Scientists preformed more tests on her, injected more strange serums into her, and left her to wallow in her own suffering for longer periods of time. The intervals of no pain became more frequent, but sadly didn't last for long. One day during one of the Scientists tests, something clicked in Paradox's head. Next thing she knew, she was watching all of the Scientists who were running the experiment grovel on the ground, screaming in agony. She realized something that day. She liked watching people in pain. Another test or two gave the Scientists an idea of Paradox's unique power. That she could inflict pain and agony unto other using her mind. This was just too great of an opportunity for them to pass up. They made a deal with Paradox, who had changed her name by now, for her to serve them in exchange for perks in the Area. Her cell has a nice bed and desk, and the food she gets isn't too bad either. The only downside is that because of her unique power, she is a danger not just to other Experiments, but to the Scientists as well if she chooses to be. So to keep themselves safe from Paradox's wrath, they have a metal collar-like contraption bolted around her neck. Its lined with hundreds of tiny speakers, which if directed to, blasts out music. The collar is also connected to wires that have been implanted up Paradox's neck, which are weaved into her eardrum. So when the music is turned on, Paradox feels as if her head is going to explode from the excruciatingly loud tunes.

Ｃold, calculated, ruthless. few words of positive association are chosen when speaking of zayden
jaythorne. he is that arrogant pretty-boy who struts around like he owns the place that everyone
hates but loves at the same time. zayden immediately takes charge of any situation he is in, being
the control freak he is. everything goes his way and no one else's; end of story. he believes things
such as trust and loyalty have no value and only create weakness within a person, and greatness of
a man is measured through how easily and efficiently he can commit murder. aside from life's guilty
pleasures, zayden focuses on the task at hand and hardly ever strays from that. he was conditioned
to feel nothing and to wield weapons of all sorts to their greatest capacity. at only eighteen years of
age, he is a picture-perfect killer.
contrary to popular belief, zayden was not born like this. killers are never born; they're made. like
most people of the career districts, zayden's family takes the games very seriously. all four of the
jaythorne boys were enrolled in only the highest predigested training schools. unfortunately, these
kinds of schools focus on results, not the process in getting them. so when zayden was having trouble
grasping the idea of murder and how to commit it as a child, no tactic of understanding was too brutal.
physical beatings, dunking in ice baths, pressure point abuse, sound confusion- everything they could
explain as a 'learning experience' they got away with. torture like this is what twisted zayden into
the monster that he is now.
