please watch it its really worth it!! it will be airing on cartoon network in november
though the animation is quite minimalistic the cartoon itself features some great artwork and music and has a very cozy autumn-y atmosphere
all the characters are so adorable! the brothers' designs remind me of little wooden dolls i used to play with as a kid
the whole series overall has a really nostalgic feeling to it and as you can see im already obsessed
so probably more fanart coming up

oh also the creator of the series is patrick mchale (the same guy who had worked on adventure time and flapjack)

Vent art. Big time. Today my aunt delivered a baby girl...but the little thing didn't make it. My aunt was only 7 & 1/2 months pregnant. The doctors had found fluid in the lunges of the baby and had put my aunt in the hospital. The baby wasn't under stress and seemed to be doing fine, but the doctors decided to send a needle into the womb and trying to extract the fluid. Then things went wrong. The baby was born this morning before its time (after being put under stress by the doctors) and died. This would have been my aunt's first baby and my first girl cousin. I had waited for this child for so long. I wanted her with all my heart. But she is gone. I didn't even get a chance to say hello. I will be traveling up to see the family tomorrow. I hope I will be able to be strong for them, but I don't know. I have been crying all day, though my mom doesn't know that. I stop when I'm around others. I have a volleyball game tonight and I don't know how I'm going to get through it without breaking down. This is all very hard on me. If I could, I would trade my life for her's. I loved her so much and couldn't wait until she was born. But she's dead now and I have nothing but pain.

so my two characters (i've yet to come up with names lol) are kind of in a scuffle right now.

basically the guy threw eggs, egg hit girl, girl wants to kill guy.

the end :D

well just a sketch, I wanted to figure out the rest of the body of the guy I came up with in the first Oekaki I did here and since his face was very androgynous-bishounen I wanted something rather monstrous to contrast that.
I had no clear idea what to for except overly long limbs and kinda goatlike legs.
I might continue this but I'm not sure if I will.

I rarely create Ocs and most I do are male so a woman for a change.
What I still find really difficult is to make her look her age since I'm more used to draw younger people.
The scars were originally not planned in her design and were just some sketch lines but they looked nice and added character so I ended up keeping them.
She smiles on most drawings I did of her so I went for a more serious expression for once.
I'm glad the Brush settings make it possible to add a bit texture so not everything looks too smooth since blending with the water color tool quickly ends up too smooth. Well I got lazy after painting the face and I don't really know how to draw folds so hair and clothes look rather meh.

I still have overall trouble figuring out how to shade her face but it's hard to find a fitting reference for her face, then again a general reference for face shapes might do it too...
uhhh I should make a ref folder for her with refs for the scarf, leather surfaces and stuff...

So I had history homework, but obviously drawing Thomas Paine was the priority here.

I don't really know what I think of it, I used a mouse and am experimenting with new styles

Thoughts? Tell me how to shade something like this well
