This is ever-so-slightly vent art in a way.
I couldn't really be bothered shading so I just did a really quick shade that looks horrible lD
eue I don't like the body anatomy but I'm pretty happy with the head for once. xD
The forelegs might look wrong, but actually they're just in the water, which is why you can't see her hooves.

Basically Leta is thinking of someone, and their reflection/picture is showing in the pool of water that Leta is sitting next to. She's crying, and a teardrop hit the water causing it to ripple and hide the picture.

so this is a fugly sketch I was lucky enough to come up with just so I could post XD
Anyway, I am making this new species called Lokusts. And thesea re the example lines:


Body Frame:
Lokusts are thin creatures with dense strong bones, and due to them having such a thin frame, they have 'extra' skin. (like the web of skin between your thumb and the side of your hand) This was somehting done on pourpose becuase during fights between males, only skin was grabbed so no organd or muslces could be injured. Lokusts have large ears, with feathered fur around the edges, and small horns protruding from their head. The trype of horn can range from large ram honrs to gigantic carabou antlers. But females, of course don't have them due to the fact that males are the more 'dmonite' gender, although females are rather more agressive. Thier tailed are long and thin, with fine long coursed hair flowing through. The length can range from 2 feet of hair, to 6 and even none. Although just for mating rights the leader may just have the largest/longest tail of all. Their snouts are long, and they have rather short, pointed canine teeth. And unlike most canids, molars made for chewing grains and minerals, and on rare occasians plants. Thie rmost odd feature would be their paws. Very hard, thick paw pads on small long paws. It's said that when walking on rocks, the Lokusts' paws make the tapping of a hoof. Wich makes sense seeing they are used to hunt hoofed animals.

History:
Lokusts where primarily created to hunt hoofed creatures, the occasianal deer or sheep. In the late 2000's animal scientists of a wild park where struck with an ongoing disease of the hoofed creatures. It caused the males to go out of control and they would basicly end up harming themselves, other animals, and even park rangers. They dabbed this as a counterpart to 'mad cow' disease gone wrong. And due to the rapid breeding, the disease spread causing scientists to step forward and create a 'cure'. Thous the Lokust was born....er, created. With small delicate paws, and long limbs, they could catch up and kill the infected animals by sensing them with their strong sense of smell. Large ears for hearing, and horns for when encountering animals on the rage. But as the disease died down and started upin other parts of the world, the Lokusts where forced to be sold as animals to common pepople with very high training of handling such an animal. Can you train and raise a Lokust?

Living Habitats:
anywherre where there is plentiful hoofed animals. Mainly forests or mountain areas, not many are seen in sub-artic or desert areas that much. (fun fast//the horns off a Lokust match the type of hoofed animal they where bred to hunt).

Mating season:
winter. Males become very territorial, and will kill if needed. during this time the femaled become pregnent with a litter of usualy 3-7 pups, and they raise them all through spring. When summer comes the father usualy leaves, and by autumn the pups should be able to surive on their own. This cycle goes on every year all year.

Diet:
grains, mineral rocks, weeds, roots, meat, bones, anything really but insects.

Whoop! First Oekaki! Really proud of myself.

So, um, I don't know who this eye belongs to. Or what animal it belongs to. I originally came up with it on the bus. However I had no colour pencils, and decided to draw it digitally. I was originally going to use Photoshop, but decided to use Oekaki since I really wanted to try it. :3 It's my first time. I'm not really good.
So, this is an unknown eye. I might do more. This is done from scratch. Constructive criticism is welcome!
Oh, and it's possibly a WIP. I don't know if I would do the whole face? Any ideas on what it is?
