ok first of all, all credit goes to @ ceruleanwake for the background(s), still forever grateful/in awe abt these u did awesome work man.

BUT the point of this post is to announce: The Guardians ARPG will be switching format!

There are quite a number of plans and ideas that were intended for Guardians from the jump, and after taking a dive into the UMA scene in the CS forums, I realize the things I want to do would be far better suited to a smaller drawn scale so that we can provide a greater variety of unique features and experiences.

Such as: gaining additional sets of wings as your cat levels up, armor pieces (to a customizable extent), familiars, featuring multiple guardians in one post without looking cluttered, and much more.



So I present to you these new bases we will be using once we get the threads posted up!

The intent for Guardians will 100% remain the same - we would love to provide an interactive environment where your guardians can be used at every turn; and your activity will not be a requirement to participate and earn cats/items in the species, but there will be greater rewards for those who are committed!
We will be revising our trait list, making fresh new threads, trading rules, opening staff apps, and much more very soon.

What does this format change mean for my existing Guardians?


If you wish to use them going forward, they will need to be transferred onto the new bases! Just as before, everyone will be given a one-time free MYO where they can create their founder - in which case you can choose whether or not to use your original founder or make a brand new one!
And for the Guardians given out by our artists that weren't founders, I'll probably figure out a system to have those transferred in freely by our staff (or just myself!)


Can I still use my MYO's?

Yes, but it'll be a bit different. MYO's going forward will instead be custom tickets - but for those of you who have already earned/purchased MYO's that haven't been made yet, I think I'll permit usage of the new founder base to create those.


What if I still really like the oekaki bases?

Then use them!! I'm completely open to users still utilizing the base for refs and future customs. As long as usage is intended for an existing/planned Guardian, there's no problems here! It just should be noted that a Guardian is not official until it is on the new base and in our archive!



the ETA for this is undecided, but hopefully VERY soon. There's a Lot I still need to draw and have prepared, and staff applications will probably open sooner than anything else. Could really use the help lol
I'd love to figure out a way to make Guardians adopts still earnable by competition, but raffles will definitely be more consistent this way as well.

With all that said, let me know if this seems interesting, and if there's any questions down below so I can answer out in the open - there's still a lot being planned/thought out! Suggestions would be AWESOME as well.

Uhh I struggled with this one.. I don't design characters very frequently, I honestly start blanking and never have the best ideas for character design and I'm pretty bad with color theory ^^; I kinda like it though! Would love any advice or cool things to add to this character, not even sure what I would name them. I think I'm going to make a full body piece of them !
