The Australian-Oriented breed of Alkoli Mustangs are very illusive to people, but are overpopulating their Kolaio Plains home. Recently, a skilled group of people came together to try to capture and rehome some of the mustangs to keep the Kolaio Plains herd at a safe level.

Alkoli's are easily recognized by their elegant stature, thick flowing manes & tails, and slim faces. They have incredible endurance and speed, and are very determined and loyal to their owners. They try very hard to succeed and please their owners.

3.) If you take the ORIGINAL ADOPT ART offsite, please link back to this thread.

4.) Please be patient with the artists if you have a custom request being worked on.

5.) Please do not whine and/or complain if your custom isn't chosen right away.

6.) Please ensure that when breeding two horses of different owners, that you have permission from the other owner and have determined who will recieve the foal.

7.) You may use ONLY this thread to request customs and breedings, however if you are searching for a partner for a breeding, you may advertise ONCE per month the horses you have available (and keep it updated) and please keep inquiries about available horses to PM. This keeps out spam but makes it easy for people to see groups of available horses.

8.) You may also post the adverts of available horses on the fanclub page but again keep inquiries to PM. You may also suggest event ideas in the fanclub as well.

9.) There currently isn't a limit to how many Alkoli you may own, but this is subject to change.

10.) You may seem some artists do "gift" horses. there is no limit to how many gift horses an artist may do, but please do not ask for them.

How They Work

Each artist is given two (2) custom slots per month. There are multiple ways a custom slot can be obtained:

- The Artist can pick a custom request that is posted here in the thread (form below)
- The Artist may hold a raffle and the winner gets a custom slot (These will be posted in adopts with their own blank horse until completed and will also be linked through here)
- The Artist may hold a form-based contest and pick a winner and complete the custom in their form (These will be posted in adopts with their own blank horse until completed and will also be linked through here)

Completed Customs will be in the flow of regular adopts but will be unavailable to other adopters.

Customs will have a "Custom" on it, which can be removed in another version per request, while regular adopts will have "Adopt Me" or a blank background once adopted.

Custom slots cannot be sold, traded, etc., however the outcome may be.

Alkoli do have limits on their number of breedings per month, however the numbers are subject to change based on user activity.

Mares may breed 4 times per month. You may use these at anytime during the month, but please keep track of how many times she has bred for the month, as we will not.

Stallions may breed 6 times per month, allowing for equal distribution as there are typically more mare alkoli captured than stallions. You may use these at anytime during the month, but please keep track of how many times she has bred for the month, as we will not.

On the [url=wip]Breeding Thread[/url], there is a list of artists available to do breedings (these artists are usually more skilled with genetics & breeding genetics). The form for breedings will be located on the breeding thread, where you will be permitted to specify a specific artist you want to perform the breeding, or you may leave it blank and any breeding artist may pick it up. All major breeding rules & thread rules will be posted on the thread as well.

*Note for artists who do breedings and need genetics: I highly recommend using: this genetics generator. If you need just one horse's genetics just to check them, I typically breed two horses that have the same coat & markings as the horse you need, and then output is usually the exact same as the parents - boom! genetics. For breedings you can input them and it will also include each different possibility that could come from the parents, that way you have some options and will know its genetics and the phenotype as well.

A new "rarity" system has been implemented just in time before breedings are opened up. Each horse should have genetics posted in their bio, and any breeding restrictions that may occur, as well anything to note for breeding artists (always passing a Splash gene, etc.)

The rarity guide can be found here (dont worry, its google docs). I would advise that all artists (as well as potential artists) brush up on this and may even keep a copy for themselves, as it'll be important to have when doing breedings. The only reason the list is being typed out is because it includes every coat color and pattern markings along with their rarities, and its a big list.

There are two sections, one for coat colors and another for patterns/markings. Basic markings such as blaze, stripe, snip, star, bald face, pastern, coronet, sock, and stocking will not be included in this list as they are simply generic markings with no genetic code.

Typically, the marking will determine the final rarity. If the coat is very common & markings used are uncommon, then the horse in common (in the middle), if there are two rarities between coat & markings, go with the higher one of the two between for the overall rarity. If it is only one step up, use the markings rarity.
