Mod positions don't "open" since the staff is very selective about who is chosen to moderate. The only way to become a moderator is by a staff member seeing exemplary good behaviour and good mod qualities. That being said, mini-modding should not be done by any non-staff: it just means anyone who is looking to be a mod must have good behaviour, is kind and does not lose their temper when they are angered, and is able to be patient with others. A person does not have to have mod experience to become a mod, as I would gladly train them (or see to it that Levi would) but the aptitude for modding would be a must. Basically, we just see who has mod qualities and look into if they might be interested. It is staff suggested only, to prevent people from bribing others to suggest them.
It is worth noting in order for a mod to be hired all staff must be in full consensus, so if one user is not in agreement the person will most likely not be hired. The staff at SCS work as a very unified group and we like to hear each others opinions, as it is unfair how in other community settings where one person has say and that is it.

The reason for this is that people can act a certain way or lie on applications, or they might just apply and be hired, only to never be active with the community. Being that I have been in moderator training and am aware of what to look out for, I know that a key to a good community is a good modbase.

Regardless, as of the moment we're not looking for anyone to moderate as we have everything under control: the community is not large enough where we would need an excess of mods. So we're not really looking at anyone right now, but I still look at everyone's behaviour. However, at some point I will be putting up an application for judging which will be posted on here and the fanclub. The job specifications will be included in the post when I add it.

howdy all! important announcement:

as some of you may know, recently the official SCS competitions have fallen behind. why, you may ask? due to the fact that art is judged with effort in mind, there are some times that I am unable to judge: I can't judge my own competitions for example, since that'd be biased and unfair. with neah being so busy I have asked for permission to hire someone who will act as my assistant in the SCS competitions: this person will have the title of "judging assistant" and will be an official staff member.

your job will include:
- judging open competitions here
- guest judging adopt competitions should an artist request help
- refraining from posting or causing negativity, including the 'salt blog' on tumblr
- the ability to communicate with me
- judgement to know when you can be unbiased, and when you should alert me to something you cannot judge
(this is important! I do not mind helping if you cannot be unbiased, but generally speaking you should be able to judge forms, including your friends forms, without bias)

you will not be required to do the ribbons or plaques unless you would like to
you will not be required to help me update archives, but it is appreciated
you are recommended to join the discord to communicate with all staff easily, but it is not a requirement
it is highly recommended you are an older member for maturity purposes, but this is not a requirement

simply put, you will pm / tell me you're judging competitions, and then just tell me the results of the competitions you judge. simple as pie! for any questions, comments, concerns, or inquiries please pm me. otherwise, you may either post OR pm me the form below. I will choose the person whom I feel is the best fit for the position, so there is no "deadline".

Why would you like this position ;; cause I love this community and would like to be a part of it but I suck at making my own lines so I really couldn't be an artist so this was the next best thing

She does have a litter that comes with her, I will be keeping one of the kittens. I don't really care what they look like, why I didn't buy a custom litter, yet she has a litter of four kittens from when she was on the streets. Also the kittens are mixes since no cat is really pure breed unless they ran away.
