And no I was not playing Pokémon Go looking for a shiny event Vulpix.
ITS JUST SO CUTE, OKAY?I had a quiz that day. A science-y one. The most science quiz you could take on Halloween.
I second guessed myself and got some questions wrong. It’s fine. I completely forgot what the splash zone was as compared to the high intertidal range and all (and no the splash zone is not the zone where you get splashed by tomato juice, in case you’re wondering. I just forgot that it actually was submerged by water once in a while.) Just like you can forget that you probably need a Halloween costume.
Oops.
The original plan was to slap on my Loki helmet from last year and call it a day… night.
But it was cold and I was tired so I was like “hm maybe I’ll take a nap”.
My sister was already trick or treating but that time, with her friend. (Yes, I purposely missed the first half of toting to rest.)
I did make Bluefeon a
costume though.
As I was going downstairs to air fry some Dino chicken nuggets I decided: if they came back home at any time I would Yeet myself out of the house with them.
It was too cold. And too… uncomfortable to wear the Loki thing.
So I fell back on my second backup:
the Pikachu Beanie. Luckily unlike two years ago I actually had a yellow shirt… which ended up not mattering cause I was wearing a green sweater and a flannel from Costco over it. Cause I could (and also Bluefeon vibes).
Oh and jeans.
They did come back so I was like “hi I’m here to supervise the little sister.” And they were like “alright” (except my sister).
I brought Bluefeon along too - my tot bag was my Pikachu plaid mini backpack from Hot Topic (my fav bag). The plan was that if I didn’t want to wear the beanie I could call myself a Pokémon trainer.
Little did I know my sister’s friend was dressed as her favorite Pokémon, Mimikyu.
All in all, it was a good night. Especially when everyone was closing up and was just like “pls we want to sleep have the whole bowl”. 10/10 strategy right there. We even found a house where it was one of those buckets left outside and… it wasn’t empty. Pretty much the opposite.
Don’t tell my sister I took the two remaining Haribo gummy bears from that house. I told her I saw another one in there because I knew she got other Haribo stuff from the houses she went to while I was sleeping. But spoiler alert: there wasn’t another one.
A lot of twizzlers though.
