Home is an interesting concept for Pyrestep. She doesn’t easily bond with people or places. After all she happily abandoned Brightclan, where she was born, in her journey to gain power over others. Growing up in the shadow of Brightclan’s leader she was constantly compared to him. Told she was wasting her time with trivial things and that she should focus on bettering her skills. When the Stormclan cats were being kicked out of Brightclan she joined them hoping to gain sympathy from their leader and become deputy. Just as she wished he made her deputy as soon as they arrived at their new territory.

The new territory wasn’t much, but it was a place she could get used to. Stormclan would be her new home, she would make sure of it. She would learn to fit in and at least tolerate their dry sandy territory. Learning their new culture and turning her back on Starclan would be difficult, but it’s what she has to do. Having the authority over others was what mattered to her now.

Home is the place where she can prove herself and gain the power she’s always wanted. The strange new environment would all be worth it in the end.

Home was the sandy pelt of her leader, the same color of the chaparral hills Dawnaeon loved so much. Home was the way her eyes glittered in the sun, eerily similar to the waves crashing against the shore. Home was her voice echoing across the hills, rallying her Clan into battle. And home was the sound of her breathing, calm and quiet, curled against one another like a pair of innocent kits, watching the rain pour down from the heavens.

Her home was her leader. Wherever Dawnaeon would go, Peachsun would follow.
