I got rly lucky when i rolled for four kits with my last batch, so i'm adopting this one out!

A prince on the run; born into royalty and with magic in his hands, he was always destined to attend the academy and learn to hone his powers. Quiet and softly spoken, many believed that this shy child would posses healing powers to match his gentle demeanor.

But even the heir to a throne can fall victim to an ironic twist of fate.

His power, it seems, is destructive rather than healing. Intense, difficult to control. All he's ever wanted was to protect the ones he loves, and rule his kingdom with kindness and peace. His volatile emotions fuel his power, and his volatile power fuels his emotions. He cannot understand why he of all people has come into possession of such an ability, and while he trains each day to try and control it, he secretly wishes he could discard them altogether.

All it took was a moment, a tiny slip of concentration, and he watched as his own hands accidentally blasted through one of the classrooms. Fearful and ashamed, he fled the academy to hide in a nearby forest. Hiding from search parties, he truly believes his kingdom will be safer if he stays away.

"I'm... I'm sorry..."

I looked at the scorch marks seared across the floor, the hole blasted in the wall, scattering bricks and sending dust up like warning smoke. I looked down at my trembling hands, so innocent now, the source of the destruction. A hush had fallen around me, wary and disbelieving, and I knew they were staring at me. As the silence dragged on, I heard them start to whisper.

"Can you believe that just happened?"
"Can you believe they let him in here? He's dangerous!"
"And he's supposed to be a prince?"

Tears blurred my vision, and my hands clenched into fists. I turned and fled, and though I heard teachers calling me and scolding the other students, I didn't stop. I ran out of the room, through the halls and courtyard. Out through the large entry gates, away from the school grounds, towards the forests. I had no plan, no where to go, but all I wanted to do was hide.

They'll be safer if I hide.

Here, alone, away from my classmates, away from the kingdom, I felt better. I couldn't hurt anyone here. Here in the dense undergrowth, under the cover of trees, was safest for them. I sniffed heavily, tears running down my face. Sitting down, hugging my legs, I could hear their voices.

They were right; what kind of prince was I? All I'd ever wanted was to protect my family, my people; how could I do that with powers like these? Why me? Why couldn't I heal instead? I rested my head on my knees. Maybe I should stay here. Maybe they'd be better off without me.

My parents would worry.
The search parties would come soon.
Whatever I do, I need to decide soon.

I just didn't know how to decide.

tell me about them: Kinjo lives in the mountains of China, in the tower of Yueyang. He stays there most of his life, guarding his precious treasure from the humans below. He only leaves when he needs to go hunt for food. Even then, it's only for a short while. He wears a special glowing amulet that his mother gave him that she said would always keep him safe. He makes sure to never let this amulet out of his sight.

xtra: Kinjo is eternally youthful, and is very much of an introvert. Even though he stares out his window every day longing to have a companion, his father, Titan, has always told him to never let the treasure out of sight. Kinjo can see for miles below his tower. Whenever he sees animals cautiously hunting together in packs, he always gets jealous. He always stops to ask himself, "Why me? Couldn't my father have done this himself?". Kinjo never understood why he was made to guard the treasure. His father told him that he had other siblings that had much more important jobs, but little did he know about the story of the treasure, and how it keeps all of their family secrets...
