African Plains Equids, or APEs, are a hardy breed. They possess the strength and sure footedness of a quarter horse, along with the height and speed of a thoroughbred. They also appear to have a few traits that are characteristic of a variety of other breeds. APEs come in a large variety of colors, with some being more common than others. Common colors include solid colors and any minimal white markings. Uncommon colors include champagne, dapples, and paints. Rare colors include appaloosas and roans. Very rare colors include brindles and any other mutations.
