As your patrol nears the Twoleg border, you notice Hana sitting there ─ possibly waiting for someone. With a sigh, your patrol leader asks what she's up to and reminds her that this is clan territory, so she shouldn't be sitting right at the border. The small snow Bengal casts a playful glower at them before speaking. "Haha very funny, I know that! I actually have some very important business here. Could you tell me a little bit about.."

Experience is awarded based on how many words you write, and/or the content of your art. All entries will receive experience (as long as you follow the art/writing only rules)!

Here is our writing exp scale, and here is our art exp scale. The writing exp scale is the same as the one used in explore. The art exp scale may be subject to change in the future.


ＳＴＡＲＤＵＳＴ
Complete any (or all) of our three quests to earn stardust! When a quest round closes for judging, a staff member will calculate how much exp you've earned for art / writing according to our art / writing scales (see above)! Then, all exp will be converted to stardust as follows: 1 exp = 2 stardust.

Don't worry, you'll still receive experience as well! The stardust is just an additional, bonus prize that you can use to buy super cool items in Starclan's Shop!

Winners are chosen based on effort, quality, and creativity. Prizes vary between months and quests, but Hana's favorite entries from each quest will receive a rarer bonus prize!

Q: How do we win prizes? What can we win?
A: Participating in quests will earn you experience (xp), stardust and/or MYOs (as grand prizes)! The more you write or add to your art, the more experience and stardust you could earn!

Q: How are the quests judged?
A: Experience and stardust are awarded by effort, while MYO (grand prize) winners are chosen by effort, quality, and creativity!

Q: Are we allowed to answer all three quests available for the month?
A: Yes, absolutely!

Q: How do I claim XP from the Quest Board (or from other Stars events)?
A: Add a note with a link to where you earned the XP in your next explore post! You don’t have to do any math or add the XP on your own━a writer will do that for you in their reply! c:

Q: Can Hana ask the same question twice?
A: Theoretically, yes! Our quests are chosen via random number generator from a document that only staff have access to

Q: May I suggest a prompt?
A: Yes, please do! My (vivika) dms are always open to prompt suggestions and you're also welcome to drop them in the #suggestions channel of our discord <3

Q: I responded to a prompt, but didn't get any exp! What happened?
A: Please double check the requirements for the prompt. Writing done for art-only prompts and art done for writing-only prompts won't count for any experience. If you followed the prompt requirements and answered the right prompt, then there may have been a mistake on our end; we're only human after all! Please DM one of the staff members who helped judge to let them know!

Q: The prompt doesn’t fit my lore!
A: Quest prompt(s) are flexible, and you’re welcome to interpret prompts in any way that fits / better matches your lore! This can mean finding a lore equivalent for certain prompts (ex. your clan equivalent of a medicine cat or warrior ceremony) or interpreting it in a different way (ex. symbolically rather than literally, etc).

Q: What do I do if I’ve already answered the same prompt in the past?
A: You’re welcome and encouraged to answer it again! Feel free to write / draw a new take on a repeat prompt, choose a different perspective / cat to tell the story from, etc. Please do not reuse art or writing that you've submitted previously in this mechanic (or other Stars mechanics) as you've already received the xp, stardust and prizes for it!

Q: Can we collab with another user for prompts?
A: Yes, you're welcome to collab with other users for quests! Any writing / art done must be clearly split and divided, so we can award xp accordingly*. Please make sure to specify what each user did (if isn't already clear) and make a note about it being a collab somewhere in your entry!

* For example, one partner can create an art piece for Quest One and the other partner can write a poem to go along with the art! Alternatively, you may both create separate art pieces or separate written pieces for the quest. Creating a single art piece where one partner lines and colors, while the other partner shades would not be allowed (as this makes xp tricky to award)!
