what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:


A heck of a lot, incredibly. 2019 was a year of firsts for me all around, got a a taste of what's to come moving forward in my life.
However, the thing that keeps sticking in my head is my 2019's New Years resolution; just wanted to be more social and friendlier. Many times throughout the year I felt like I was getting nowhere with that, but looking back on it now, I can see the difference extremely clear. I've met so many people and found a lot of them that I consider dear friends, and though I still have to work on it and keep trying to open up, I'm really proud of accomplishing even a little bit in the hurricane of a mess that last year was.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:


I want to save up quite a bit of cash, specifically for a laptop I need and a travel, I plan to do that with commissions but for that though, I'll have to find a good balance between commissions and work, which is also something I hope I can work towards in this year. It's easy for me to throw myself into one or the other and overwork myself til burn out, and as you might know, that's a terrible approach to that. So, I'm going to try my best to get a sort of schedule for myself, to have proper breaks and make sure I get something done.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:


Maybe it's a little silly but I'm really proud of my best friend's growth. He wanted to be more assertive and positive in his life, and it has worked out so well! I feel he's so inspiring to look at, he has tried his absolute best and I'm still amazed. He's still a little shy, but he's joined some cosplay groups and is even planning out one for AWA all on himself, and he used to be too nervous to talk to other cosplayers so he's getting so far. Plus, he's being very positive about it and acknowledging his progress, he's no longer downplaying his accomplishments!
I'm dating him so maybe I'm really biased but ppfft, I'm just so proud of him and excited that he seems happier

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:

For me, 2019 was full of way too many ups and downs, specifically the down part of it was why I said too many. But, there were a few things I did that I was incredibly proud of. I am a nervous person by nature- it is hard for me to make new friends, because even the thought of going out to approach strangers makes my heart clench up and want to stop moving! But, this year I did, and I made not just one, but FOUR new friends! They are incredibly kind people, and a blast to be around, and I am so proud of myself for making it and befriending them!

what is something you want to do in 2020?:

This year, there are many things that I want to do- like, pass Organic chemistry. But my New Years Resolution wasn’t exactly that... it was more of a promise to become someone I can appreciate being more. And to start that? I said I’d get back into Martial Arts, at least in the form of working out for the first half of the year so that I could do them later. Long ago I was great at them, and never lost a spar- I think I liked myself better then, and want to get back to that. So, maybe it seems a little silly to have another New Years resolution that is to work out, but it’s bigger than that. This will help me appreciate myself.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:

My friend, who I will affectionately refer to as Dim, has a bit of a difficult time, every once in a while, putting themselves above others. This can lead them to get into a bit of trouble in the form of toxic relationships... which is just horrible for everyone involved. They had begun to date this guy at the end of 2018, and all throughout 2019 this continued. He wasn’t toxic in the beginning, but the longer they were together the worse it got... by the end of summer the relationship had changed from good to toxic. And I knew that it would be incredibly difficult for them to end things with him... but before the end of the year, they did. And I am so proud of them! I know it was hard for them to give him up, because they didn’t want to hurt him, but they did prioritize their well-being in this case. I love them and I’m so proud of them! <3

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
i got all straight A's on my classes in 2019 after having a really bad track record on my clases the year prior. I'm really proud of myself not just because of the results, but what it is also reflects in my mental health/happiness as well. I got together with my girlfriend in 2019 and i met her by the end of it, and she was a big help and motivating force for me 🥺 I made sure to study hard for all of my classes and make sure I succeeded, and i did! despite having a couple difficult courses too

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
looking to once again do well in my classes, as i'm taking some that are a bit more difficult & hopefully successfully transfer to the next college i'll be at. calc i'm taking especially was rlly hard for me last time, so i'm hoping on that. i also hope to see my gf again this year - i just left her a couple days ago cuz she has school starting after this weekend, and i already miss her. it costs a lot of money though, so i'm considering making getting another job (seasonal or not) sometime during this year/by the end of it to make sure i don't dry up on funds. i'd say overall those are my goals this year! and maybe exercise, but that's a big maybe

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
one of my friends struggles w bipolar and more recently sleep apnea and other struggles sleeping. w/ bipolar, they've improved a lot and overall have been really happy in 2019, and i'm really proud of them for that! they've also tackled volunteering and applying for jobs, and even though they don't have a job yet, i have faith they will get one in 2020. they've received some new treatments for sleep apnea in 2019 that i hope going into 2020 can help them find a regular sleep schedule. i also hope they succeed in all of their classes and get to see all of their faves, cause you gotta wish em that.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I live in a place where its warm most of the year and we live close to the beach, so I would love to go down to the beach more often with my dog and just enjoy the days. I also love going down to creeks and sitting on a camp chair with my feet in the water, but I barely ever do it and would love to just head out and enjoy nature more often. Bush trails, mountain hikes – all of it. I would like to get out into nature and just have a good time. Forget about worries or responsibilities and just enjoy the beautiful world around us.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?:
One of my friends has had a pretty rocky relationship with her dad, and trauma around it, but I’m so proud of her for speaking to others about it and trying to overcome what happened in the past. She was able to visit him several times last year and not totally hate it. While she still has a pretty strained relationship with him, I’m proud of her for being open to trying it out and seeing where it takes her. I hope that she will be able to gain a stronger relationship with him this year, because fathers are incredibly important.

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
Id really love to get a little more active. Currently Ive got litterally zero stamina and Im gaining weight constantly, and grow more and more lazy. So basically its a two in one goal. Loose weight, preferably about 10 kilos, and get moving. I know It'll be quite hard, as eating is my favorite sport... Right next to watching sports on TV...
Well, the goal includes eating less sweets and snacks between the normal meals, climbing at least one mountain this year, doing more running with the dog again, and probably eating less in general. Its not that I eat unhealthy stuff all the time, but probably twice as much as I should... I will also take longer walks again. I used to call it "getting lost". When I took ways I have never been before, to see where they get me. These made some great dog walks... But I feel I know them all by now... So maybe drive somewhere to find new ways to explore. Aaand of course, a goal I set with a friend, walk around the lake next to my home town. Thats basically all the plans I currently have for getting me more active this year ^^'
May 2020 be less lazy than 2019!

what is something you want to do in 2020?:
I don't usually think about what I want to do in the new year, rather living in the moment. However this year, I'd like to travel the world a bit more. Not flying to other countries, but just getting outside into the community more. I feel like most of 2019 I've stayed in my boring, risk free comfort zone, and I'd honestly love to take some risks, try new things, and just explore the world around me! I plan to volunteer around my area lots, and hopefully meet some new friends and learn about the history of where I live more. I'm looking forwards to having an awesome time with new and old friends too!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: 2019 was a difficult year for me, but I'm proud of myself for not giving up hope when the goings got rough. I faced many obstacles and challenges, ranging from sickness to unfortunately losing someone dear to me, but I've made it through all of them. There's been nights where I thought the world was crashing down on me, nights I've spent crying myself to sleep, but I made it. I couldn't have made it through this year, this decade, without support and love from my family and friends. I thank you all, and thank you for the proud memories we've made. Let's make 2020 an amazing year to be proud of too.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: honestly i’m a bit of an underachiever, so there really aren’t a lot of things that i can be “proud” of when i think too deeply on it. though i did fairly well in high school i wasn’t very happy with how i progressed or how i was taught, and my last year was especially sour, so i was kinda glad to be out (even though i didn’t have any plans on what to do afterwards). i did a quick, one-year course at the local uni last year and did a small internship at a resort for a while as part of the course. the internship was really demanding; i had to live by myself for a long while and i could only go back home about once a month, working really long hours, and i made many mistakes that made me consider leaving, but they were really impressed with my performance overall and i think that’s the first notable thing i’ve ever managed to complete on my own volition.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: i have plans for myself that i'd like to do for this year. notably i'd like to...start on digital art? i don't have a computer or a drawing tablet (yay parents for taking stuff that doesn't belong to them) anymore but i could always work through mobile apps and stuff. i'd like to work on writing and developing more as well. i still believe that i'm at a place where my writing and character developing jazz are far below where i'd like them to be so i wanna work on that. i also have plans and goals i want to achieve out of online/cs/discord stuff but they're just more personal things for myself.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: i have a friend irl who has…a lot of personal problems and issues with her family. last year was especially bad for her; there wasn't much i can do to help besides be there for her and provide some comfort while she shoulders it alone. she's been finding a place to move out to for a while and i really hope that things get better for her this year! i’m hopeful for it as she found a possible place to stay in and i really hope that it goes through.

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: In 2019 I was able to do a lot of things I'd always been really scared to do. I went jetskiing, mountain climbing, and down a really big waterslide! While those things ended up being really fun I'm most proud of myself for taking time and taking care of myself and my mental health. Sure it isn't perfect but I'm doing better and that's what counts! I'm feeling better about myself and it's really nice. The past few years I've had a hard time with life and it seemed I kept getting thrown under the bus. In 2019 I had enough with my pity party and decided to keep working to better myself. By the end of 2019 I was overall doing so much better in life helping me be more productive.

what is something you want to do in 2020?: In 2020 I really want to adopt another dog into the family, hopefully a puppy but if the right dog shows up I'll gladly give it a home. It's been 10 years since my family has last had a puppy and I've been feeling like I have the time, motivation, and energy to care for one. We have one dog currently who's getting old and when he gets to see other dogs he lights up and acts just like he did as a puppy. Getting another dog is no tiny thing so I know we have to make sure we're 100% ready but this year hopefully it'll happen. I have my eyes on some Brittney Pups at our local shelter so I'm staying hopeful.

what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: Last year one of my friends got up the courage to do a big speech she'd been preparing for several weeks. She had an amazing speech put together and had memorized it all in advance but she had a lot of fear of presenting. Last year we all worked together to keep her practicing in front of groups of people letting her get more comfortable with it. When the day came to deliver her speech she was panicking a bit in the morning but we got her to do one more practice round to help ease her nerves. When the time came she was ready as ever and gave one of the best speeches I've ever heard! She did a really amazing job and I'm incredibly proud of her for doing it. At the end she was really excited to have done something she'd been scared of for so long. It was awesome!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?:
I'm proud of learning another instrument and getting well enough at it to get medals! 2019 was truly a weird year for me

I really want to get my mental health backup and in shape again. 2019 was a rough year but at the end of it, it turned out pretty well, I just really want to be healthy and have good thoughts again!

what is something you're proud of yourself for accomplishing in 2019?: mmm i'd probably have to say the fact that i graduated from my college program with honors, and got accepted into a super competitive school to finish the other half of my degree! (college was 2 years, new school starts in 3rd year levels) i've never been the best at school, barely passing and probably managing about a C level, if that. now my grades are at a A- level and i'm honestly shocked at my grades, but also super proud because it feels like i've actually achieved something worthwhile. i still have 1.5 years left to go to finish my degree, but i'm aiming to finish this degree with honors as well! what is something you want to do in 2020?: get my novice driver's license!!! i've had my learner permit ever since i was eligible, but i've done nothing with it since except renew it every 2 years by retaking the knowledge test. first things first though, i have to get over my fear of driving because its really bad right now. (probably due to the 2 car accidents i've been in now) but for my future career, i have to be able to be independent as well as drive to wherever i'm needed by myself. my boyfriend got me driving lessons for christmas, so we're working towards it with little baby steps, but i'll get there someday. what is something you're proud of a friend for doing in 2019, or want to happen to them in 2020?: i'm super proud of my friend for following his passion and going back to school to become a animator!! he got his original degree in political science due to peer pressure around the "shame" of drawing cartoons, and worked in a office job for a mining company for several years. we took him to peru in 2018 and convinced him to follow his passion and go back to school for the 1 year intensive program to pursue classical animation. he graduated in december 2019 and to see how confident he's grown in the last year, not just in his skills but as a person is just wow?? he's always been an underdog, so seeing him happy and successful with his career just makes me super warm and fuzzy inside!!
