I had been so focused on the world above me that I never even realised that there was a whole world hiding under the ocean waves...

I'm kind of nervous to find out what's waiting for us down there... But... I'm also excited.

I feel giddy and my stomach is full of butterflies.
This reminds me of how I felt the first time i discovered the beauty of the night sky.

answer to prompt; Rem hadn't even been outside that much yet, being such a young goob, let alone explored all the world had to offer so this was quite the experience. A quiet but inquisitive diab, Rem was tentatively looking forward to seeing what his watery cousins were like.
Rem wondered if the salt from the ocean would mess with his goo. Come to think of it, Rem didn't even know if he could swim.. Was there a lifeguard? He sat down a little ways away to gather his thoughts and loosely plan his days. Although it seemed to be much too loud, it was enjoyable to see everyone so festive. He wanted to see a little bit of everything this new place had to offer.

"It's been such a long time since I've heard of them, I was around when the tales and legends were created, and it's been centuries since those legends were truly wide-spread. Each age of the peak of legend had different things to say about the ocean, different things to say of those who lived in it- and different parts would turn out to be the full truth. I...suppose I am excited, in some sense then. The legends I've encountered always told of mergoos having beauty that would make an agel jealous enough to turn into a diab in an attempt to match it. Alas, It's been ages since I've encountered a mergoo properly, and I hope all of us keeps on our best behavior, keep jealousy off of the land and out of the sea alike."

Pepper let out a huff, she could hardly believe the others were excited. Why on all Goobplanets would anyone want to be stuck near an unknown and expansive thing such as an ocean? She scanned the beach, reef, and other areas before, though only to herself, admitting that it didn't seem nearly as bad as she'd imagined.. assuming she doesn't have to go into the trenches and explore whatever is down there. She trotted away from the group and found herself a nice shady spot to Goob-watch (like people watching, but for Goobies). [93 words]

I think this event seems like fun! I love all the Summer activities there are and love seeing them translated into a thread version in which we can post for. Seeing the Mergoos concept is really cool! The major gene splicing style is my favorite because of the long tail and more Mermaid like appearance. It is also lovely to see the artwork in each thread! Great job to all the wonderful artists! I'm not very excited about the gambling aspect and do not think I will post in that one myself. This will be the second goobies event I have participated in and am excited to see the cool things that are in store! Even though I do not yet have a Goobie, I'm sure I will eventually get my first one. ♥
