The red stiching on his front legs enables him to use fire power and blow things up , his got a red gem embedded into his forhead which gives him the power.

The Kanji on his face is The Kanji for Hate The Kanji on his Tail is the Kanji For Death.

and yes he is wearing nailpolish.
