Another plant for Sagan 4, this one just a single species rather than a genus. The ancestor had just one cap/leaf, but with the rise of more dense forests with closed canopies as well as competition from a new lineage of decomposers that produce seeds instead of spores, it had to adapt. Its caps are both leaves and spore-producers, so having more both helps it gather light and allows it to make more spores (and therefore have a higher chance of one germinating).
