What exactly is a Banana Uni, you ask? A Banana Uni is like a unicorn, except smaller, about the size of a Great Dane, and in place of a majestic horn, they have a banana. Odd, hm? It is no ordinary banana though. The banana is the source of a Banana Uni's, often called BU's, powers and personality. Without their banana, they would be nothing but boring, defenceless ponies. It is extremely rare to see a BU without a banana, the closest you can get is probably one which is half-eaten. They say eating the banana of a BU will grant you the powers of the said horse. Anyway, enough about the mystical banana. One of the few places they can be found is here, an ancient refuge for all BU. Their numbers are dwindling in the wild due to poaching for horns, they are indeed quite a delicacy. We've began entrusting BU's to people who we think has what it takes to care for this exotic equine. Do you have what it takes?


OOOO, these are so cool! :D How do I adopt one?
Before you can adopt one, make sure to read the rules below. To acquire a BU, click on the picture of the one you want to try to adopt. BU that are up for adoption will have an 'Adopt Me' sign on them. The artist will have put down a form that you will have to fill out, and unless they specify, you're free to pretty it up. On the end date, the artist will judge the forms and pick out the best one. Don't worry, if you don't get the one you wanted, you could always try for another BU!

In the wild, Banana Uni's will travel in herds of four or more. They have adapted to live just about everywhere, from mountains to savannas, the arctic, and some even underwater! Unfortunately, their population is starting to decline, which is why preserves like these were created to protect this diverse species. BU will often come in any color, with markings raging from stripes to spots and even more complicated designs. Occasionally some Banana Uni will have a mutation that will set them out from the rest of their species, such as wings, gills, fins, long manes, spikes, or very rarely, no banana horns! This mutation is the rarest of them all, very few Banana Uni naturally have no banana horn. Without a horn, BU are practically helpless, for they rely a lot on them for their survival. Their banana provides them with special abilities, often each BU has it's own power. Some examples are the ability to fly without wings, invisibility, control over elements, electrical powers, and many, many more. One power that all BU share is the ability to feel the emotions of the living creatures around them. This helps them understand the nature of their owner and companions, which helps form a deeper bond between them.
Random Facts
~ They seem to recognize bananas as their own kind and will often try to communicate them. All BU's believe they are sentient creatures with feelings and they disregard the fact they are trying to talk to a fruit, and you will probably not convince them otherwise.
~ Some BU like to wear accessories and have been seen wearing hats, necklaces, bracelets and even fake mustaches. They do not like to wear clothes though.
~ The most common ability a BU can have is control over an element, such as fire, earth, air or water.
~ BU like listening to music.
~ A BU will eat almost anything as long as it isn't meat, like vegetables, fruits, shrubs, grass, hay, berries, your clothes, etc.

ARTIST RULES.

-Make sure to end a competition when you think there are enough forms.
-You may do line edits for simple things like accessories, just not too many.
-Rare BU are those without Bananas, have wings, fins, horns, stuff like that, major line edits. PM me before you make those.
-Each BU has one or two minor powers, like turning invisible, control over fire, etc. It is rare for one to have three or more.
-Make sure colors don't clash.
-You can make three customs for yourself.
-All premade Banana Uni's are free.
-Will add more if needed.

GUEST ARTIST RULES
-You will be a guest artist for two weeks.
-You can make 5 premade Banana Uni's.
-You can make 1 custom for yourself.
-Don't remove my siggy.
-You still need to end a contest that you made,even if you're not a guest artist anymore at that time.
-Will make more when needed.
