history. he grew up in a small apartment in Seattle, Washington, raised by a single mother with his twin sister. Despite his family's financial hardships, he had a happy childhood, the little courtyard outside his apartment serving as the land in many fantastical imaginings. His cheery world came crashing down around him when he was fifteen.He witnessed his mother and sister being confronted by a pack of feral dogs that he had often played with in the courtyard. The dogs - which he later learned were skinwalkers, attacked his mother and began to drag his sister away. In a desperate attempt to save them, he rushed the pack, only to he attacked himself. He was briefly knocked unconscious, and when he came to, his mother laid dead beside him, torn to shreds, and his sister was gone, along with the pack. The tragedy drove him onto the hunting path, where at first he dove into research on werewolves and other supernatural canine beasts. He tracked the skinwalker pack across the country, teaching himself how to hunt other creatures on the way. He became quite an adept hunter, though he is naive in some ways.
