Virisia

She nodded surprised by him thanking her although she did not show it, she was slightly concerned about him because he was acting differently then normal but she did not bring it up. "Oh course my king, anything for you," after responding she walked down to her chamber and took off her mask.

(@mylittlesongbird, I'm so sorry I kept missing Fern's response to Amber!)

"Thank you, Fern. It means a lot to hear that." Amber smiled at the girl. Amber's heart lifted for a moment, but then she looked back at the rest of her pack.
Amber was holding onto Waverly's hand for both of their comfort. She needed touch like she needed air, and Waverly was now family. She noticed he had met her eyes, and then dropped them. Amber smiled kindly, and then looked at the rest of the group. Kale was burying his mother, and as soon as he was done, they would be moving.
"We will not be going far, just to the shelter of the trees. Too much has happened here on this beach. Solara will know where we will be." Amber answered Waverly, while also addressing all of the group. She noticed that Kale was already walking into the forest.
"Let's go." She smiled, following after Kale, still holding Waverly's hand. She stopped a respectable distance away as Kale said his goodbye.
"We will be just beyond that tree line when you are prepared to join us, Kale and Vivien." Amber murmured, pointing to the two o'clock section. She then turned around and waved everyone forward. She emerged into a clearing of sorts.
"Let's rest here. Still in view of the beach, but far enough away that we could run if needed." Amber stated, looking around. Sorcha walked in, still carrying Ivana, whom was still asleep. Amber prayed for her to stay asleep until she could be properly healed. Sorcha gently placed Ivana on the ground, before turning around and addressing the group.
"I will get wood and start a fire. I will also catch enough food for everyone." Sorcha announced. Without another word, she walked into the forest.
"How about we all sit or relax as much as we are able? If someone wants to tell a story about anyone, feel free to share." Amber smiled, taking initiative and sitting down, still holding Waverly's hand.
She didn't think she had the strength to let go.

Jonah smiled at his true love, trying not to laugh at her antics.
"I know you aren't your mom. It's very hard for anyone to be like her." Jonah snickered, ignoring the whole Janice not being rude comment. He knew Janice could have a temper, one that could rival Clove's. He then noticed that Clove was trying to crawl up into his arms, and Jonah picked her up, wedding style.
"You might want to increase your strength, love, for when we actually get married in the Adamson fashion, I have a feeling I might be able to walk out by myself." He snickered, teasing her. He only carried her a few feet before setting her down on a chair.
"Alright, same feeling as before." Jonah instructed, getting serious now. "And please, do not threaten to maim her if she gets on your nerves. She might with the news of Sorcha." He then gently touched her temples, and called upon his power. He immediately found the connection for Janice, and brought Clove into her mind.
"You show her who's Alpha, my lucky love." Jonah thought to himself, snickering.

Regina followed Luno into the forest, smiling. Her scythe was in her hand, and it already felt like an extension of her body. Her blood was still singing for battle, her fingers needing to feel the hot blood of her dying enemy. Luno started to talk to her, as if she was one of his own, as if she was one of them.
She was not one of them. She would never be one of them. She was better than all of them combined. Her mouth twisted in rage, her face heating with fury.
"I am alone, because none of you are like me. I no longer need a family, I've never needed a family. My parents used me, and I used them. Love is a fools game. Family is not real, it's just a more suitable term for alliance." Regina spat, her knuckles white from gripping her scythe so hard. "These idiots here speak of love, but what do they know? Nothing. They fight each other, despite being on the same side for Hades' sake! You think I'm a villain? I'm not. I'm just doing what the others are doing: protecting themselves. I just have more deceiving and cunning ways to do it. These omegas are not family, and they never will be. You brought us together? Your wife brought us together? Where were you when Alastair ruled over the lands? Here! Hiding! You hid from the rest of the world while it tormented us!" Her voice was dry and sharp, just like her Scythe.
"You may be here for me now, for us now, but you weren't when we truly needed you. My parents died trying to make the world a better place, and so will I. I may be here, but know this Luno Adamson, I am not on your side. I am on my own side, where I will prosper and live. You will be one of the many to fall, but consider this punishment for your cowardice, you weak disgrace of an omega." She hissed, smiling cruelly now. Regina raised her Scythe, and angled down.
This was the only merciful death Regina has ever committed. Poor King Luno would not even get to beg for forgiveness, since his head was rolling on the ground. Regina then raised the Scythe again, slowly hacking the king into bloody, gory pieces until her blood stopped singing for the melody of death.
"Agatha, I need you now." Regina growled, Luno's hot blood splattered across her face and body. "I need a manticore, or another beastly creature here in this grove to cover up Luno's death. I'll then run back screaming, and allow the others to deal with it. Hopefully a few more die." Her gaze rose from Luno's body, and she smiled as she licked her lips.
The blood of her enemy was the sweetest thing she had ever tasted, but the blood of her enemy killed in revenge was better.

The Afterlife

"WHAT?!" Clotilda tried to make her voice sound really scary and menacing, like a villain with extreme anger problems. Those were the funnest to watch on television. Calm villains were boring unless they made a lot of sarcastic, snarky remarks. Otherwise they sucked. Clove saw enough calmness from her mom. Whenever she watched a character that acted like her mother, she just got so annoyed. Solara wasn't exactly her favorite member of the family, but nobody could replace her. Sure Clove called Kelly 'mom' more than she called Solara 'mom', but Solara had her own place.
The Family Gardener, probably. Or something silly like that.
"You just wait. I'm not my mother's daughter for no reason. I'm going to eventually benchpress a grand piano, just you wait and see!" She boasted.
She groaned at Jonah's 'no maiming' request. "Fine, but only for you. If anybody else asked, I'd maim them too. And not just threaten! I'd actually do it! And..."
She didn't get a chance to figure out more violent threats, because she was immediately plunged into Janice Clifton's dream.

Clotilda groaned inwardly as she faced the towering giant of a woman. Janice was ridiculous. At least six feet tall, and about as muscular as Mom.
... Okay maybe not THAT muscular. But still!
"What do you want." The General demanded, glaring at Clove with sharp ice-blue eyes.
"I was sent to tell you that Agatha's trying to destroy Hesenia. Your army has to help stop them. Down the mountains to the east, follow the river to the Sanctuary. You'll know the place when you get there." Clotilda was really not in the mood for this woman's shenanigans.
"Who are you even."
Clove bared her teeth. "Queen Solara's dead disgracing daughter. I don't want to hear any more disrespect. Oh, and Sorcha is escorting a group to the Sanctuary. You can meet up with her there."
"You are the one being disrespectful," Janice snapped back at her. "I will relocate my army, but that is enough."
Clove was literally ejected from the General's mind then.

"She's worse than Blair, because she's not even funny." Clotilda grumbled as she sat up. "I'm sick of all these jerks. Maybe I should see Lanette this time."

The Islands

Myrtle clasped his hands together so tightly, his little knuckles were turning white. He was so excited for this prank! He imagined Alastair and his family lined up at the bathroom.
"AAARRGHHH!!!"
"HURRY UP!"
"IT'S YOUR FAULT!!"
"YOU'RE TAKING TOO LONG!"

Then they would come out, only to see their entire interior redecorated with their least favorite colors. Maybe Myrtle would even get creative and put sunny cute little designs everywhere. Just to annoy them even more, while also making them want to keep the new paint job. It would be too cute to get rid of.
"Of course I'll paint lots of hearts-" He started, then gasped dramatically.
"A centipede?!?!"
This woke Ondine up. Uh-oh. Myrtle scrambled and hid behind Grace, but Ondine appeared to be smiling.
"Thank you for waking me up, buddy." The General said. "I just needed to shut my eyes for a couple of seconds before I gathered everyone together. Why don't you run along to your huts and grab everything you'll need?"

---

Capital City

Alastair nodded silently to Virisia. His face had become expressionless, as he thought about his childhood. He once had people who loved him for being Alastair, not being some ruthless and tyrannical king. Did anyone love Solara for just being Solara? If not, then Alastair was determined to beat her. He would be so good, he would make people actually like him, and not just bow down because of his rank. What was he without a little 'friendly competition' against his age-old rival?
Once Virisia had left, Alastair looked at the ruined bodies angrily. This treason proved he hadn't won that competition yet. He didn't bother dealing with them, since his guards would. Instead, he made his way towards the exit of the building. He had some work to do. First of all, dragging that spy Darius Winters back here. That teenager was only working at the Clock Tower because he wanted to destroy it from inside out. Alastair decided this was completely asinine. Who in their rightful mind would assassinate the providers of Hesenia's electricity? Now Adam Lin was the sole provider, since the sun was obscured by another mistake Alastair made. When would he stop making stupid mistakes?
Alastair was going to start by stopping his little traitor. This would be the first heroic thing he ever done. Hopefully Regina would come back in the meantime. Alastair couldn't wait to hear her report. If things were dire enough, he would accompany her to keep her safe. A promise was a promise. The King would protect his last loyal servant like his own daughter. His own daughter... Would Cyrena forgive him then?

Everything was proceeding along with plan. Darius had flaked out on his commitments, apparently. But Alta had kept them for him. The bloody bodies of Audrey and Clair Lin lay at her feet. Atalanta had murdered them with her arrows, but she had slashed them with a sword she stole. It would look like King Alastair did this himself.
Alta let out an ear-piercing shriek, imitating Clair's childish tones. And then she ran as fast as she could. She would tell her husband that Adam Lin tried to attack her, which would explain the blood on her clothes. Obviously Alastair would win, if he was manly enough. Like, seriously.
And then she would kill him too. As Hesenia fell into more anarchy than before, Atalanta would take advantage of the chaos and snatch herself a more manly husband, married or not. She was sick of Alastair now. He, like, OB-viously wasn't manly enough for her! She had seen the emotion he showed today, and it was DIS-gusting.
Alta flipped her hair as she ran, because it was all messy. Ugh! This was disgusting. Although, she had found blood wasn't as bad. It had a nice, feminine shade of bright red when it was splattered on her light pink gown.

Birvale Forest

Waverly nodded at Amber's response. He was grateful that his companions seemed to know what they were doing, where they were going. As much as he loved the ocean, though, he was glad to get off this beach. This place was cursed by too many visits from Zelkova too soon. The waves were probably washing the blood away, but that shoreline would never look clean to Waverly even if Governor Evan cleaned it himself.
Once they entered the clearing, he took a quick skittish look around. All his nerves were on edge. Even on that terrible beach, at least it was just open space. Here their enemies had so many hiding places. Any creature or murderer could be lurking in these dark woods. Waverly hadn't forgotten that awful feeling of being watched, which was still lingering. He felt the hairs rising on the back of his neck. It was even darker here than on the beach, and whenever he blinked, he would see his brother being murdered again. The horrible thud of his body on the cold sand...
He squeezed Amber's hand and nodded again, getting too choked up to speak. Sorcha placed Ivana down and then left, after detailing what she would do. Waverly felt bad for not helping, but he didn't know if he could handle the responsibility. His hands would be shaking too hard to do anything. He took a deep, shaky breath as he sat down beside Amber. Waverly was clinging to the Soare girl at this point. He hoped she wouldn't get annoyed with him and let go, but he would understand if she did.
"I can t-tell a stor-" Waverly started, but then he heard rustling. The boy froze like a cornered rabbit. The sounds were getting closer fast.
"Hey," Another boy's deeper voice called out from the bush. "Don't worry, guys. It's just me."
Now where did Waverly recognize that voice...
The boy emerged, and Waverly immediately identified him as Darius Winters. He had seen Ivana electrocuting him in a rage multiple times. Darius had received numerous bad reports as an employee who constantly had an annoying attitude, and slacked off every day. But he wouldn't hurt them, right?
"Oh, Amber. Wasn't thinking I'd see you here," Darius said, entering the clearing entirely. His expression was nonchalant. "No hard feelings, eh? If it makes you feel better, I'm sorry for back then. I've never had a job before and I was just kinda messing around. I saw you guys leaving and kinda stalked along. It would be hella boring back there without you two."
He looked down at Ivana and frowned. "What happened to her?"

The Sanctuary Outskirts

Luno didn't need telepathy to feel the intense anger radiating from Regina. He didn't want to interrupt her. That would likely make her even angrier. He had taken the girl to a quiet place, to hopefully calm her down. Now her anger was escalating. He looked at the enraged blonde with concern, hoping she would stop soon so he could explain himself. So he could tell her she wasn't a villain.
"You hid from the rest of the world while it tormented us! "You may be here for me now, for us now, but you weren't when we truly needed you. My parents died trying to make the world a better place, and so will I."
Her words cut deeply into his heart. How could he explain to her he was simply following orders? He wasn't going to defend himself with any justifications. No matter the argument, he could have done better. These people were all his children, not just Cilan. He could have saved their families and friends. He could have prevented a lot of this from happening, but he had instead obeyed his wife's dying wishes and fled.
Had Luno not listened, he would have taken the throne back. He was entirely capable of defeating the usurpers and protecting himself from further attacks. He had run away and hid in the Sanctuary instead, following Solara's instructions to create a safe place for their son Cilan. The heir of the sun was also in hiding at the time.
Why, Luno could have done better. He could have prevented Alastair from casting his curse in the first place. Then when his wife returned, they could watch over the skies as they always did. He couldn't cast his blessing in a large population center; he wasn't powerful enough. But with Sunny there, he wouldn't need to.
"I've... I've made a great mistake, haven't I?" Luno thought, looking down at the ground. He didn't react in time to defend himself as Regina's blade came down. In his last moment he tried to reach out with his mind, to maybe even tell Regina he still believed she could do better. But his telepathy had deserted him.
Nobody heard his final, silent plea for help.

Agatha was cackling as she personally materialized above her son-in-law's dead body. She was literally standing on top of his remains, and she didn't even care. Being disrespectful to council members was her thing. Just before Luno entered the forest, Agatha had shut off the connection between him and Solara. And just before he died, Agatha had forced Solara to finally return. In the waters of Birvale Beach.
Right after all her 'children' had left the beach behind.
See how the hothead liked that! Nobody would come to help her. Nobody could even see her, and they were already too far away to hear. Oh, it was so funny when these high-and-mighty Celestial Idiots suffered and nobody came to their aid. Luno's death had been the most hilarious joke ever. He wanted to reach out to Regina, which had been his mistake. This served him right for his stupidity! What an idiot.
Producing a wickedly curved sword-dagger thing from seemingly nowhere, she winked at Regina. "Even better, kiddo. That was wicked. I've gotta reward you. So get runnin', and kill me once we get to the clearing. Then ya do your thing."
She winked and began advancing. This was going to be great.

---

Birvale Beach

"It's so cold."
The Queen finally crawled out of the water, drenched and trembling. Agatha had caught her off guard. Her parents were right that every time Solara returned with Agatha's curse in her, she would be weakened further. There was a hole deep in her chest, a somehow familiar feeling of being alone and empty. She did not like to imagine what it could mean.
She couldn't stand up at this point. She could only advance at a slow, pathetic crawl through the sand. Agatha would be jeering at her now, laughing how the proud fall from glory. Normally Luno would say something to her now. He would tell her the children were safe...
... She had to reach them, even if she crawled like this the entire way. She had to protect them, with the last breath she had in her body. Agatha could have her, but she could not harm her children again.

---

The Sanctuary

As soon as Cilan returned, he lay in the grass. Xia and everyone... they were all calming down now. They all just needed to lay back and take a deep breath. Cilan looked up at the moon, smiling under his father's watchful eye. Dad would protect them all. They wouldn't be caught off-guard again-
All of a sudden, the moon went out. Completely. Cilan's eyes widened, realizing there wasn't even a moon there anymore. He only saw the image for a moment, a blank dark sky where his father's light used to be, and then the clouds filled the gap back in. The curse of darkness was absolute over Hesenia now.
Cilan stood up, feeling a sense of unease. The grass was no longer tipped with a silver glow. It all appeared dead and limp. Luno's blessing had been broken. There was no doubt about it.
But why?
"Where... where is my father?"

Amidst the darkness, there was no mistaking it. Xia's memorization of every colour and pattern was unique to her. Her brows furrowed and her eyes darted around in their sockets as they remained closed, still continuing to pick up on what had changed in this moment. Her eyes popped open and she pulled away from Mayne. She hadn't caught a glimpse of Luno's or Regina's aura since they left, but now, Xia could not feel him either. Regina still lingered. Elsewhere.

...With an energy Xia could not place her finger on or recognize, only having a brief recollection of in her dream. What was that name... That vile woman tore Silas from her grip. Xia took a deep breath. She stood up and returned to the shore of the lake, slipping her iron chest plate on. She adjusted her amulet, rubbing a thumb over the stone and the sigil carved into gold behind it. Her eyes narrowed as she approached Cilan, avoiding eye contact. They were kept on the stone chained around her neck as if it would provide her with an answer. Xia knew very well that it wouldn't, but that didn't matter. She already knew.

"Your father is dead. An outsider is near." Her trident returned to her hands as she directed her gaze at Rowan. He would also be able to tell.

Amelia didn't need to turn to figure out someone had taken the seat beside her. Azuline had moved away from some morons, and she was honoured to have been chosen to be acquainted with someone else down here. Someone with sanity remaining. Maybe the Underworld wouldn't be so bad. She had lost her mind when she was still on the surface, tailing Virisia like a parasite. Hunting the king like she was an animal.

Her eyes narrowed at the imbeciles further in front of her before cocking an eyebrow at Azuline. "How long did you have to endure them for?" She inquired in attempts to make simple conversation. She scratched at her temple as one of her head wings prodded at her from beneath the skin. Hey. Keep it down in there. I need to make friends.

Eyes cast downward shifted to examine Acacia's expression. Anyone this strong has definitely been through some sort of trauma. Acacia was no exception. Vaxas nodded at Peregrine, feeling for any bumps in Blythe's leg so he could straighten it out and lock the bones back in place before splinting. The bones in there could be chipped but if Camilla's camp wasn't too far from here, Blythe could be saved. There was proper medical care, after all.

"Don't wanna burst your bubble, Peregrine. Saving someone shouldn't classify you as a hero. We've all done enough bad to cancel out the good. If we haven't, we must be angels." The world was a crap place to Vaxas. He's lived, loved and lost but he knows he hasn't been through enough to tell the story dramatically. He knows he hasn't been through anything more than Acacia, not Blythe or Peregrine. Vaxas regretted being wound up in the Sunset rebellion. He regrets murdering those soldiers in cold blood, not focussing on his parents enough to realize they had died. He regrets turning around because his own brother had held a blade against Vaxas' neck.

Most of all, Vaxas regretted sinking the blade of his katana into Mallius' heart.
He finished splinting Blythe's leg, nodding to Acacia that it had been finished. He packs the first aid supplies back into his bag and holds his head in his hands. Too little to remember, too much to forget.

Regina smiled when Agatha appeared in front of her. She was standing on Luno's remains, and Regina wanted to laugh. Agatha's eyes were shining with pride, and her heart warmed. The last time she had seen that look was the night her parents died.
"I promise I won't make it that bloody." Regina teased before she closed her eyes. She drew up her most awful memories, ones that she will never share. It brought tears to her eyes, and then she released a blood-curdling scream. She then started running away, screaming as she went. Tears were making her vision blurry, but she knew Agatha would not kill her. She ran as fast as she could, so she could get there a bit before Agatha. She couldn't let the others kill Agatha, Regina had to be the one to do it. She burst into the clearing, still screaming and looking behind her every other second. She crashed into someone, Xia to be exact.
"She's here, she killed Luno. She ripped him apart, I couldn't stop her. She had me locked in a nightmare." She explained between sobs. "She killed Luno. She killed Luno! She killed him out of cold-blood!" She then started shouting, hopefully looking like she was on the borderline of hysteria.
"I'm going to kill her!" Regina shouted, wielding her scythe as Agatha came into the clearing. Regina paused, allowing Agatha a moment to say what she needed before running at her, shouting in rage. She had to kill Agatha herself, before any of the children here could. She arced her scythe, slicing cleaning through bone, muscle, and sinew. Agatha's beautiful head fell from her body and rolled on the ground, Regina breathing deeply. She then ran to the corner, and vomited everything she had ever ate.

Flynn was angry, but he was slowly cooling down. He was leaning against a tree, trying to keep his cool when he heard Regina's scream. He then looked up at the sky when the world suddenly went dark. The moon was no longer there, which meant Luno was no longer there. He was by Cilan's side in the next instance, not only just for protection but for support as he pulled his brother-in-arms into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry." He murmured to Cilan, not letting go until Cilan let go. Regina then ran in screaming, and Flynn stood beside Cilan, ready to jump in front of his Alpha if needed. Mal was still asleep, which was actually a blessing in disguise. Flynn glanced at Cilan when Regina blabbered what happened, and the girl looked like she was losing it. Oil then coated his skin, and Flynn snarled as Agatha walked in. Before he could do anything, before anyone could do anything, Regina was running at Agatha, weapon brandished. The snarl died in his throat as Regina killed Agatha right there. Flynn was stunned into silence, still standing besides Cilan, even as Regina ran to the side and started puking. He didn't know why, but Mayne walked over to Regina and held back her hair, rubbing circles on her back with his other hand. If Regina made a move, Flynn could be over there in the next heartbeat to get Mayne out of there.
"Are you okay?" Flynn asked, turning to his brother. He looked at Cilan, and his worry only increased.

Amber didn't mind Waverly practically in her lap, she just held him. He was stammering, about to tell a story, but there was a noise and Darius walked in. Amber sneered, practically snarling. How dare Darius come here. Amber stood up, shielding Waverly and Ivana. She would smite Darius where he stood. She then looked behind him, and saw someone crawling out of the waves. Thankfully, she saw Sorcha run over to the figure, already brandishing her fire.
"Ivana is none of your concern. You were a nuisance at the Clock Tower, and now you will be a nuisance here." Amber snarled, laying down the verdict. "If you so much as think to do something bad, I will make you a pile of ash. Touch anyone here, and you will be the first patient in Amber's electrotherapy experiment. Understand what I am getting at?" Amber threatened. Amber then heard screaming, and everything within her was telling her to run towards it. She felt so conflicted.
"Darius, you're coming with me." Amber snarled, pointing at him. She then turned to Waverly and crouched down. "Can you watch over everyone for me? I will be back soon, hopefully with some help." She waited, peering into his eyes. She would not leave without his blessing.

Sorcha saw the blast of light of someone returning, as well as the moment the moon went away. She dropped all of the wood she had gathered and ran to the beach. Flame was in her hands as she ran towards Solara.
"Solara, my name is Sorcha, I am from Janice's Army. I will help you." She simply stated. She helped Solara up and was bracing her with her shoulders. She started hobbling back to where the rest of the group was, making sure her hands were flame to help warm Solara up.
"Can I touch you with my flame? I do not know how a Phoenix works, ma'am." Sorcha murmured, hoping to help Solara in whatever way she could. She had to redeem herself.

Jonah smiled at his mate's teasing, but focused on the task at hand. He wasn't fond of Janice, especially how she was treating Clove. Alpha going against Alpha, and he knew it wasn't pretty.
"She is a dominant, and so are you. It normally gets tricky when two Alphas from two different territories meet. You did very well though." Jonah murmured, wrapping his arms around Clove and kissing her forehead. He felt bad admitting that he needed rest.
"I need a moment or two to recuperate. I'm starting to get tired." He admitted quietly. "Even though I'm dead, I still get tired and I don't want to push it. Too many things could go wrong."
"Is there anything else we can do while I wait for my power to recharge?" He asked, trying to do something else.

[What heck are you doing with Jonah's age?]

The Underworld

Azuline groaned as one of the idiots screamed out endless sexist slurs. It was James, the worst idiot in her opinion. The others were nowhere near as bad.
Keith was just a cowardly crybaby who ran away from every situation. Azuline had to handle many of those in the living world. They were easy pickings. Sometimes the cowards would actually fight well when cornered, which was better than the ones that just begged for mercy. The hardest part was actually backing runners into a corner.
Leroy was extremely arrogant, but it was almost funny. It was too sad to be funny though. He actually thought he was that amazing. If he wasn't a complete idiot, Azuline would be annoyed by him too. But his delusions of grandeur were so ridiculous that he was just downright pitiful.
And Drew, well he had no brain. He was less intelligent than Leroy. Azuline would be able to tell if Drew was faking, but he actually wasn't. Azuline would have some respect for Drew if he was faking stupidity. That would mean he was making himself look even dumber, so his supremely arrogant friends could feel superior. But no. He was actually that dumb.
James though, all he did was shriek sexist comments across the room.
Why did Azuline know so much about these freaks? Well, she had spent way too much time with them the past couple of days. "I only died a few days ago. I've been stuck in this hell ever since."
"Girls are all stupid! That's why they drop out of this class!" James was screaming again.
"They drop out because they can't stand YOU," Azuline snapped at him.
"Oh yeah? Well... Your MOM!!" James retorted.
Azuline slowly facepalmed, then put her forehead against the desk. The wretched metal husk was burning hot and didn't offer much comfort. "I wish we could actually 'drop out'. These guys are jokes."

Celestial Tower

Clotilda just loved being showered with affection. But only by Jonah. Anyone else, she would probably punch them in the head and tell them to back the disgrace off. Before they could even plead for mercy, she would be launching a half dozen knives into their chest, in the rough shape of the pinky finger salute. She could easily pull it off.
"Thank you, Beta," She teased with a wicked grin. "And I have a much better territory than her, wouldn't you agree?"
Clove didn't even mind that Jonah was tired. "I'm sick of these freaks, so why don't we... Go to the library? You can show me your favorite books."
She didn't usually like to read, unless it was about fighting. Then she loved it. But anything Jonah liked, it was bound to be good. She would read it but only if he was there.

The Desert

Peregrine just nodded slightly at Vaxas' comment. He didn't like to disagree with people, and what he said earlier seemed to have upset Acacia. The tall spearwoman was now taking very slow, deep breaths. Her face was expressionless, but there was no way she was happy over this. Best to let the subject drop as soon as possible.
"I guess not," He said quietly. The boy watched intently as Vaxas splinted Blythe's leg with his supplies. Peregrine had never even seen this stuff before. Back on the island, everyone was safe from the outside world. Surrounded by Mariana's protective embrace on all sides. Apart from the treason that happened when Peregrine was only a baby, there was not really any violence where he came from. Their whole fighting style was actually a deadly form of dancing. There was no point to it if it didn't look graceful, considering they rarely used their skills for actual combat. When they did fight, though, there was no real way to counter their strategy. It was just too eccentric.
Peregrine had never wished himself in the army. He couldn't stand blood, broken bones, or other gruesome stuff. Even though the army back home was literally all dancers, they would need to really start fighting soon. That was what the message was all about. Blythe had already warned most of the armies. When he visited the islands, Peregrine had gone with him without asking his overprotective sister, the General.
All they had left was Camilla and Janice. The rest were all set. Everyone knew about what was happening with Agatha. Somehow General Blair could talk to plants, and she found out Agatha had been ruining nature all over Hesenia. Her ultimate target was to destroy everything and laugh at the ruins.
Now, Blair was a person who laughed at bad things too. But that was too far even for her.
Vaxas nodded to Acacia, who stood up, carrying Blythe in her arms carefully. The spearwoman seemed to be waiting for Vaxas to lead the way. Peregrine couldn't wait to finally reach civilization again.
"I need water so badly," He blurted out. "I'm so glad you found us."

The Sanctuary

Rowan felt like a terrible person. He had been too slow to stop any of the murders, and now his father was dead. And as he grieved in silence, the King himself had also been slain. He had taken Regina to the forest, to speak with her alone. Rowan didn't know why.
All the blind boy saw, was her shining form flaring with the intense light of anger. And almost immediately after, the light died from Luno's figure in the distance. A great shadow fell over the entire Sanctuary as the moon was extinguished. This place had been his blessed garden, and now everything but the oak tree was dead. Rowan no longer saw a world of light. All he could see in the clearing was darkness, deep and absolute.
A third figure had materialized, somehow sapping the light around her. Rowan knew exactly who this was. Something far from human, but worse than a monster. It began to chase after Regina, back in the direction of the Sanctuary.
"It's her," Rowan whispered, frozen in fear and not daring to speak the name aloud.

Cilan was about to lean into Flynn's embrace, but he let go almost immediately. Regina burst into the clearing, screaming about Luno's death. How he had been sliced to bloody pieces. All Cilan could see was the red of anger, and he charged towards Agatha with a hellish battle cry.
"How dare you come here!" Cilan shouted in rage. Regina claimed she was going to kill Agatha, but Cilan was determined to reach her first.
"It's all your fault, kiddos," Agatha cackled just as Regina's scythe cut off her head. The body turned into oily flecks of darkness that dissipated away. Cilan could swear Agatha's head made eye contact with him, and winked before it disintegrated as well. The boy stopped in his tracks and dropped to his knees. Regina was vomiting in a far corner of the clearing as Mayne comforted her. She was as sick as Cilan felt inside.
Cilan didn't lie when Flynn asked him if he was okay.
"The only thing stopping me from strangling someone now, is thinking 'what would my mother do'."

Birvale Forest

Waverly hoped it wouldn't come down to violence. He didn't like Darius' behavior at the Clock Tower, but he didn't want anyone else to die. Honestly he wanted to hide. Amber's anger made him feel like a kicked puppy, even though it wasn't even directed at him. He was surprised Darius wasn't cowering.
"Hey, chill out. I'm not gonna do disgrace." Darius held up his hands in surrender.
Waverly hoped he was telling the truth, but he didn't feel comfortable anyway. At least the feeling of being watched by an unknown person was gone.
He heard something in the distance. It might have been an animal, but it sounded kind of like screaming. Amber ordered Darius to come with her, and then she turned to Waverly. The redheaded boy just started nodding quickly as soon as she said the words 'Can you'.
"Of course. Please be careful though," He stammered out quickly. He hoped Amber would be okay. She could take down Darius if he tried to fight her, too.

Birvale Beach

"My name... Sorcha... Janice's Army... help you..."
The Queen's mind was in a haze. She could barely make out what the girl was saying. Everything was a blur, but she wouldn't ask for Sorcha's introduction to be repeated. She understood it well enough.
She rose shakily to her feet, with the support of the short but muscular little girl. Solara tried not to lean too heavily on the fire-wielder's shoulders. She did not want to hurt her child.
"... Thank you..." She managed. Her voice had lost its powerful resonance, the natural authority of a Queen. It was so low in both pitch and volume, it was barely audible. "... My child..."
She walked on, hunched-over and limping even with Sorcha's assistance. The girl asked if she could touch her with her flames. Solara nodded silently, not trusting her voice over the sound of the rushing waves behind them. The hottest fire would not even feel warm to her. At least it would be less cold. And then she would be better able to help her children. She had made many choices for them, some that seemed wrong at first glance. But Solara's sole duty was to protect her garden- Hesenia- and her little children who inhabited it- all of humanity.
She had the vague feeling that, seeing her in such a state, someone was bound to misunderstand her purpose. And that was completely understandable. Solara knew she was a burden at this point, but she needed to do one final thing. She needed Cilan and Amber together for this.
"I've outlived my usefulness, but let me hang on. I must make sure the sun will rise again when I am gone."
At a time like this, Luno would give her a little motivational speech. Or send her the mental image of a hug. Or reassure her he was waiting at home with blankets and tea, and all the children were okay...
... Where was he?
And what had happened to her children?

Andy Imani || 17 year old male || weather manipulation
with: jade

(same as last post)

Anna Imani || 11 year old female || shapeshifting into small animals
with: sanctuary (aah i can't write luno)

"Come on!" I say as I `go towards the tree, then the moon disappears , every thing turns dark and Regina comes in chased by Agatha who killed Luno. Agatha says stupidity out of her dumb dog mouth (i hate her so much) then regina cuts off her head with the sickle. I go over to her, she is thrwoing up on the ground. I look at Mayne with a worried face then back at Regina
"Thanks for killing that THING" I say. "You saved us all!"

Kale Birch || 17 year old male || photosynthesis/light from hands
with: team

I finish burying my mother then go to join Amber, she is frekaing out at some random tall guy (like taller than me)who looks like he is being rude. I get up in Darius face "Don't you DARE disresect Amber or you're gonna suffer." I threaten him.
"Amber where are you going?"

Fern Birch || 16 year old female || photosynthesis/plant telepathy
with: pack

I put my arm around Celeste. "We just heard something like screaming, Amber is gonna check it out but I'll stay here with Waverly and the others", I say to him. I am not going anywhere without celeste and I WON'T take her in somewhere dangerous either,
i will protect her with my life.
"Can I come with you?" Kale asks Amber . He gives one last glare to Darius.
Yeah I hate that guy too but he isnt even worth my time, I am just ignoring him.

Jade

She let out a soft sigh and pushed the memory of the dream further back in her mind, smiling a bit as he took her hand. "I'm fine for now... thanks though." She said as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze. Jade stood up and stretched a bit, helping Andy's hand in hers as she did so.
To all of my rps; I've been having lots of depression and anxiety issues lately and will tend to disappear for a week or so, so please be patient! I did not forget about you, I just don't have the will in me to get on every day. I will try to reply once or twice a week.

Celeste Rutherford~Female~17~Healing

When Fern kissed Celeste it was all she could do not squeal. Sure it was only on the cheek but it still meant a lot to her. A boy then emerged, by the name of Darius Winters, but he was of no concern to Celeste because then there was a scream. Practically instinctually Celeste send out a prayer in hopes that the owner ends up okay. As Amber left Celeste was about to wish her luck and farewell but the an arm came crashing down on her shoulder. Well, not necessarily it was very gentle but Celeste's mind made it seem much more forceful otherwise, why would she have tensed up like that?

When Regina crashed into her, Xia didn't move. When Agatha arrived, Xia didn't blink. She was too deep in thought to realize what was going on. She couldn't see how dire the situation was. Evil itself had arrived in what used to be a haven. Cilan yelled, Agatha cackled. Regina had screamed about Luno's fate. Xia didn't listen. As blood spurted from Agatha's severed head, Xia watched. She watched Silas' light die again. She watched Windwoods burn. She watched her parents hike up the mountains— She hadn't seen it before.

The Evil was dead, but it was not gone. Cilan was fighting and Regina was throwing up. The pressure built up and the energy was starting to hurt her eyes. Lies, lies, LIES!! Xia's eyes were wide with fury again, but she didn't shift from her spot. She was surrounded by conflict, sadness, madness, every vice and every virtue because this home was beautiful but this home was now gone. She could feel something devious that stirred, but it didn't stir within her. Maybe it was inside Regina or that pile of vomit that built up over the blades of grass.

"Enough," she whispered, removing all of her armour, and finally, the amulet around her neck. It dropped to the ground, the light inside the sapphire, fading as it left its host. Calmly, Xia waded into the lake, and sat down.

Amelia sighed with discontent. She felt horrible for Azuline, she clearly didn't deserve to be here. Then again, Amelia had no idea what she had done. Did Azuline know what she tried to do? Of course not. She had died before Amelia made the attempt to assassinate Alastair which was... Er... A timekeeper person... I assume.

"Agreed. Then again, this is our punishment for... Whatever we did. I know I deserve it, but what about you? What have you done? Killed a man?" Amelia inquired with a smirk. "Anyways, while I do agree our punishments are well deserved... I'm also free for half an hour after class before I see my father. Would you like to play around with those morons?"

Pushing his hair out of his eyes for what seemed to be the thousandth time today, Vaxas started off in the direction where he came from. He couldn't remember how long he had traveled before finding these three. Either way, everyone was safe and unharmed... for the most part. Camilla would be proud of him for finding Blythe, but in his heart, he owed Acacia. She found him first, after all. She had saved him and Peregrine before Vaxas could reach them. If she hadn't been there, they would have died bloody deaths. Just judging by Peregrine's timidness, Vaxas knew. They wouldn't have lived for a moment under attack.

He rolled his eyes in amusement despite the solemnity of the situation. Vaxas detached his waterskin from his bag and tossed it towards Peregrine. He turned his head to watch if it would be caught, or simply fall to the sand. It would either be a bad catch on his end, or a bad throw on Vaxas'. Either way, he felt a sense of accomplishment. Something that made him feel less empty inside. Perhaps it was Acacia's presence that lingered around with such strength. He walked on with determination.

"Do you ever wonder, Aki? If our little girl is doing alright out there?" Björn's gaze was directed to the white glaze of snow outside, shifting anywhere but his wife's face. He avoided any eye contact when he talked about Reidun as if he was afraid. He knew Aki never wanted her, but what if she resented her? Aki claimed that Reidun wasted eight and a half months of her life before. Did she stand by that statement?

"I don't wonder as much as you do, Balder. My mind doesn't linger on the stresses of being a lost mother." Her words caused Björn to sigh. "What if things were different? What if we stuck with her?"

"I would have never become a soldier. I would have lived every regret— so shut up and take what you've got." She wrapped an arm around Björn's shoulder, giving him a rough kiss on the cheek. Aki had been working to train the other soldiers for the past few hours and now, it was time for a break. Björn stuck to moving things around the base. He trained when he could but really, it wasn't his thing. As a child, he was quiet. He spent most of his time at the library or singing with the townspeople in Windwoods. That's where he grew up and wanted to stay forever, but Aki came along.

Björn never liked to talk about how he was swept off his feet by a hardhead. He and his wife were complete opposites. It made him wonder about how Reidun turned out in terms of personality. Did she take after either of her parents or did she grow on her own? Everything brought Björn's mind back to her.
