Bonfire night is a celebration in England of the night when the gunpowder plot was foiled. In 1605 the Catholic and Protestant churches were kind of in conflict and the king was again protestants do a group of Catholics smuggled a load of gunpowder into the houses of parliament but then they were caught and the main guy, Guy Fawkes (whom the third pup is based on) was famously hung, drawn and quartered. I honestly don't know why we celebrate this but we do with fireworks and bonfires and we used to burn 'Guys' like scarecrows etc. It's celebrated on the 5th November hence why it's 'late' bonfire night (I didn't time it well) XD
