Albanian from their word "rilind" which often means "rebirth, reincarnation".

▪ Paragraph or Art:
The ash underfoot felt warm and unusual as the Whelkon moved gingerly over top of it. The small fire that had ignited from the winds and masses of dry leaves baking in the sun had been brief but damaging. Most had taken flight from the blaze once it had broken out but one male had remained to watch carefully to the events unfolding. Age and experience had taught him that this was a fairly common occurrence once the leaves began falling, and that if watched over and tended to it would not engulf the whole forest. So tended to he had—shuffling his hooves over the ground to create a sort of dirt ring around the blaze until it had managed to fizzle itself out. Content that it was contained, Rhiland stood back and watched the small patch of forest in its pat crumble into the ash he now stood on.

Carefully he made his way through the charred remains left behind; pausing for only a moment to kick a small amount of dirt onto a still smoldering log. Already new leaves were falling to the scalded earth and crumpling in the heat that still radiated. Though were many would be inclined to see a scene of great loss, the Whelkon saw instead the closing to the second act of the marvelous show that was the shifting seasons.

Rhiland glance around him and gave a smile. All around the small charred circle were still falling leaves that blanketed the ground much like the ash did. While the earth was currently shedding the luscious coat of summer it was also preparing a rich bed for the seedlings of the new season—be it by ash or leaf—in a dramatic dance of rebirth. Soon the snow would fall and the weight of the snow would help create the nourishing soil the seedlings needed. Then the dance would begin anew—from birth to death to renewal over and over again.

Leaning his head down towards the ash, Rhiland snorted to blow some of it from its resting place. Underneath was a fresh green sprout—encouraged from its shell by the heat of the small fire and ready to aid in the regrowth of the circle. It uncurled ever so slightly at the warm breath of its silent observer before Rhiland carefully nudged some ash back over it. All would be well here soon.

A Simple Song
When I see this boy there aren't proper lyrics I could find that put me in mind of him. However, when I came across this instrumental piece I think it's simplicity and calm sound are good reflections on how I see him.

So I was looking through fire based names. I didn't particularly like any of them, so I decided to make one up. I looked at the bigger names, and tried cutting bits of them out.

Sly little shuffles came under foot. Aegus the brave, the strong, the passionate, the fearless. This was his home. At the edge of the forest he scanned his beautiful hills of Ireland. It was all his. The beautiful and talented Whelkan in front of him, intermingling, coexisting in beautiful harmony with the strong, mighty protectors that made up the Whelkon. A profound moment stretched in front of him. In a hundred years, in a thousand years, the passionate flames of caring the Whelkon bestowed upon each other would still be here. He would be long gone, but the majestic creatures would still be there. They would fight through anything, together, as one, always.

I would have thought it would have been longer, but the words just flowed out like this. I was listening to "Feel Again" by OneRepublic when I was writing this, and I think the song may have influenced this a bit. Thanks for the chance!
