No words!! Lilith's haircut!! Hunter's powers!! Mattholomule's last name!! Luz's palisman!?!?!?!?! And Raine gets possessed again! It really is always them.
I'm a lil sad that there were no instances of crazy good animation in this one but the designs make up for it completely! The cosplayers are gonna have a hayday with this one. (Currently debating if I should make a puppet Raine one myself) I hope Lilith will keep her orange hair bc its so good!! Excited to see what happens to King & the Clawthornes. (Also-- what happened to Gwendolyn? Probably puppet'd with the rest of em. It's too bad we won't get to see her.)
The fact that Mattholomule's last name is Tholomule is cursed. Does everyone just call him by his full name all the time ?! And canon that Steve's last name is also Tholomule. Steve Tholomule. Cursed.
Have we seen the snakeshifter before? I'm not recalling anything but I could be wrong. None of the theories I saw floating around here right, oof! They had to get something over us after the Creepy Luz debacle. Stringbean is baby and we love her.
Does Raine have an impressionable personality? It seems like everyone affiliated with the emperor likes to try and control them (Even Odalia with the dolls. Weird vibes.) I am terrified something is going to happen to them, or that housing a centuries year old goop monster will corrupt their insides. Remember the wedding, the Raeda wedding. Please let there be a Raeda wedding.
And a last thing! Although the end credit illustrations fill me with rage at the Rat Who Must Not Be Named for cancelling the third season, I can't help but adore 'em. How sad the collector looks in the last one! The tea party! King holding back an owlbeast next to Lilith's puppet!!! All of them ???????? I cannot deal. I need to make wallpaper out of all of them.
My fave image from this episode though has to be the family photo of the Owl gang. I am setting this to my computer background as we speak.

i loved the episode so much. i wish that rat hadn't canceled the full season, because the episodes were just full of potential that would've been brought out so amazingly if only they were given the time, like willow's breakdown. i loved it but it sadly was too rushed.
