Hi there!

After reading an AMAZING book and so desperately wanting to share it, I found a gap in the forum on where to talk about our favourite books, newly read books, not-as-liked books and all the in-betweens!

If I have missed something and there is in fact a book forum topic then please feel free to close this one down! But in the mean time...

What are your favourite books? What do you recommend?

I'll share my book down below !

So I have just finished reading a book in 3 DAYS!

Called: The Invisible Life of Addie Larue

I wish I had seen this book sooner. But oh my goodness I am obsessed with it. The story is amazing, the writing is so descriptive and perfect. The ending was (a little predictable) but so exciting. And I found myself waiting for Luc to come back in every chapter !!! -sobs-

Oh I'm so excited that this thread was made! <3 I'll be sure to check back when I finish a reading. (Also, I've been intending to read Addie Larue, it sounds very interesting). I'm currently reading Carolina Maria de Jesus, a brazilian author β€” she was a black woman in a poverty situation in the slums. Most specifically I'm reading the writings she made about her life.

Oh that sounds amazing, I'll definitely have to give that a go! Always looking for more books!

I highly recommend Addie Larue, it's a bit slow in the middle but the writing is *chefs kiss* perfection!

oh gosh. So, I've been looking for new material myself. I'm really not enjoying most of what I'm finding, and the one title I've enjoyed in the last few years is sadly not CS appropriate; it was a scifi series.

The other title I am still struggling through is also probably not CS appropriate (Barnes and Noble has it as 18+, so I won't name it), but it covered the struggles of a businessman in the developing third world. It's really interesting but it's not a fast book by any means.

The last few series that held my attention and ARE teen or below:
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull (though its sequel series didn't do it for me)
Beyonders by Brandon Mull
Animorphs by K A Applegate, which I reread a few years ago in full. It took me about a year to do it.

You can call me Hadley, that's fine too.
