Have you ever experienced a "Tetris Effect"?

Ehhh yes but also no? Every time I see that one road sign (it's the one for side roads I think? Idk I don't drive) I think "haha t-tetromino"

Also anytime someone says "cloud" in a completely normal context I snicker because hehe Cloud Strife go brrr

And finally, my favorite example: anytime a question someone asks me a question that can be answered with "okay" I respond with "okey" in a Ness voice

Other examples:
-gray hair = Xehanort
-the words "big" and "blue" being right next to each other in the same sentence usually provokes me to start humming the song from F-Zero

gghhhghr yes. i feel so silly for admitting it. like my brain is weak. but im glad to find out its a common phenomenon
for me, it was:
- the cipher noises from IDV
- screech going "psst" in roblox doors
- if it counts, i love to tap my fingers to rhythm game charts i memorize on any surface. usually tables. i look crazy when i do it but im jamming out to machine gun poem doll in my head AND full comboing it
- i play and strategize some games in my head when im trying to sleep ... mainly spider (card game)
- relating my personal needs to like the well being meters in the sims ..... though this was done consciously because it helped me with motivation HAHA

I've started playing Minecraft more often because of a server my friend made, and the amount of Minecraft dreams... I am so embarrassed. SO. MANY. MINECRAFT. DREAMS.

I don't remember any notable moments where I experienced this with Tetris but

Recently, I decided I wanted to stop being bad at slide puzzles. So I went online, found a bunch of slide puzzles, and did a lot of them one after another. Afterwards, while typing to my sister in Discord, I felt so much like I wanted to slide my keyboard keys around, and I kept visualizing it. It lasted only briefly but it was so weird

I guess I kinda have this, but in relation to art? I’ll be staring at people trying to figure out basic anatomy and stuff, and trying to break random objects into shapes in my head. I also might glance at a light source just to figure out it’s location to see how it affects lighting on certain things.

Maybe? Sometimes after playing a game for long enough, I will still hear sound effects from it later. Also the music but I'm not sure if that counts since I spend a lot of time listening to music and my taste is mainly video game music.
I've also had dreams related to games many, many times. Trying to catch a weird Pokemon, being in a place that vaguely relates to Animal Crossing, having a nightmare that a game corrupted, etc.

I have this fairly often! Especially with simple mobile games like tetris, candy crush etc. but also when working and doing something over and over again. (like op said as a cashier). I also worked for a while in a factory, on assembly line and oh boy how much I dreamt, thought and acted in the same patterns as I did when I was working!

oh SO often right now; i got a new job and literally for the first like, two weeks of having it, i just dreamt About the job. pay me overtime im working in my dreams-- no but it's so funny. i also did almost dream about a game ive been playing :)

i’ve experienced it numerous times, but the most rememberable of it was when i was really REALLY into subnautica, and sometimes when i’d see piles of litter on the streets i’d be like ooooh i need to go scan that (bcause in the game you can scan debris with your scanner to make blueprints/gather data), or another time when i really liked royale high (yes, the roblox game) and i was trying to go to sleep i’d just imagine rounds of sunset island (basically a pageant) in my head xD
