I find it interesting that Tyr picked an extinct duck. Perhaps she is going with the theme of not only ducks, but extinct ones? Or, since one foal looks a bit like a quagga, just extinct animals ..
However, I don't agree with the 'quagga theory', as quaggas usually only have the stripes upon their front half.

... really? Another bird litter... It was such a pretty newborn. I was sure they would grow up to be pretty quaggas or other extinct animals. *sighs* I really don't like the bird horses. The muzzle of a horse painted to look like a beak looks wiggy to me. As do wings of these types of litters. Serves me right by trying to hoard newborns.

I was surprised too. I was 90% sure the striped horse was going to be a quagga or something like it, so when I looking in my growing group and saw the duck horse, I was confused.
