Special characters in pet names

We made some changes to our database today at about 4.00pm New Zealand time. You would have seen a variety error messages for about 2 minutes while the change took place. The change is designed to allow special characters in pet names, like accented characters and special symbols - if your pet name has had garbled characters in its name, you can use the "Rename pet" feature now to give it a proper name.. .

We're still working on the proper display of owner names for those of you with special characters in your forum account names.
