- al-gaza'ir: iqbal's kingdom! located in a desert. their trade mostly consists of fruit, textiles, and spices. they have a pretty traditional monarchical system, with the eldest child of the king and queen being heir to the throne. mainly populated by iqbal's species of cow people, known as asterions.
- osnia: the kingdom tau is from, located in a clearing in the middle of a lush forest. trade consists of weapons, leather, fish, and musical instruments. they have a loose political system and are a very communal kingdom as a whole, favoring the collective over the individual. populated by tau's species, known as osni.
- helguard: the kingdom lewis is from, located in a barren mountain range. in fact, the kingdom is pretty much carved into the side of the mountain, with intricate tunnels leading here and there. their trade consists of industrial technology, fuel, and precious gemstones. very steampunk! populated almost entirely by humans.
- altares: karachi's kingdom, situated on top of a hill. lots of temples and farmland. similar to al-gaza'ir, they're pretty monarchical. the kingdom works together with the voxcrest pirates, an allegiance that dates back to the very birth of altares. their trade consists of farm produce and crops as well as resources from the voxcrest's expeditions. mainly populated by humans. i think.
- easthaven: okay, so the northern part of the map is going to be made up of a snowy mountain range, right? at the very eastern part of that range is the kingdom of easthaven, a monarchy of centaurs. they're divided into several different houses and are very strict when it comes to bloodline. their trade consists of specialized magic as well as research into the integration of magic and technology. populated by centaurs and very few others.

OKAY so........... kingdoms. mhm
above is a quick guide to each kingdom's emblem animal, color palette, symbol, and some associated imagery. i have yet to actually draw a map of where each kingdom is geographically located BUT i'll get there. eventually. some of these are pretty similar to the kingdoms in ni no kuni, the game my ocs were originally written for, but i hope that they're distinct enough to call my own haha
