i've uhhhh come a long way since 2014 i would think
i don't think i've improved very much in the past 7 years compared to other people, but i do have to keep in mind that i didn't really consider drawing a priority for years on end. even now i just consider it a hobby lmao

give it a couple more years, maybe i'll finally be able to call myself an artist in good conscience :p

And hey we all improve at our own rate! I'll admit that a couple of times i've felt like i was being outpaced / left behind by the progress that my friends have been making but ive been slowly warming up to the idea that its not so much about trying to keep up with them than it is about actually enjoying what youre doing. <3

for sure, that's what i struggle with a lot haha - i have friends who are art students or just people who genuinely wish to profit off their art, and i often end up feeling left behind for that reason :") but i have other obligations and have always designated art as a hobby. i know i improve best when i'm having fun, it's just always stupid tough to get to that point in the first place :weary:
