unfortunately, i don't really connect with this kalon. so here you are - a kalon readoption!

How does it relate to the Kalon?

Amarant stood solemnly next to his mentor's casket, adorned with flowers and medals of the highest honor. The same leaden feeling that had plagued Amarant only hours ago now resided in his heart, lumping in his throat. As the prince's newly appointed kngiht, he must uphold his composure, but Amarant felt miserable, felt that he could never truly shake the shame that had set in following the death of his mentor.
Amarant now sat as the sole protector of the prince, and yet he knew that he would remain powerless should anyone need his help. He was a fraud, a villain by fault of inaction. Amarant had merely watched as his lifeline was ripped from him, frozen, though his heart yearned to leap into action. He had been held to the sullied earth by his own fears, unable to move even as the palace fell under seige.
His mare spooked, racing from his side, tearing the bridle from his paws, and yet still Amarant was stilled. The marauders closed in upon the kingdom's last lines of defense with malice and numbers unmatched. The clatter of swords, the shouting of the damned, crackling of fire, and the braying of horses could not rouse Amarant from the deep seated fear that held him hostage. yet in front of his eyes he was earning the scorn of his kingdom, betraying them by letting his mentor, the appointed knight of the empire, be overtaken by invaders.
Only Amarant would know that it was not him who had stopped the fight, but the valiance of the Prince who stepped in. Only the prince and Amarant would know that Amarant had failed. Yet... the prince remained quiet. Perhaps it was worse to live knowing that you were the bane of the very man you had sworn to protect. The haunting chorale of the funeral procession stuck with Amarant, who couldn't bear to meet the eye of the Prince.

Cynthia is a superhero by the name of Lavender Light. Their powers include controlling light/electricity, healing, and phasing (walking through objects). They're very good at her job, but sometimes it feels like the villains are too much.

Recently they've been overwhelmed by evil and have a harder time stopping the bad guys. One kalon, in particular, is giving them a rough time, a magical kalon by the name of Maleficent. She's known as the "life hitman", and kalons hire her to ruin their enemies' lives. Sometimes it feels like she's ruining Cynthia's life.

On top of this, they feel like they aren't appreciated by the city or the people they save. Most of the time, the victims brush off Cynthia and return to their lives as if nothing happened. It's not like the movies. The city doesn't even notice a superhero living within it.

At this rate, they aren't sure if they want to be a superhero anymore.
