Similar to the dappled ruby, kelpies with a garnet coat are represented with a darker wine red base coat, highlighted with a pink (similar to pangare, except a lot less bright) around the legs, underbelly, shoulders, neck, and cheek. They are also presented with a bright red stripe down the side of their stomachs, reaching from their eyes to their hindquarters. Their tails and hooves are normally a bright baby pink.
