Memory: my family would, every year, light a large fire near Christmas, and we would all roast marshmallow, tell stories, catch up with each other, and give out presents.

Memory: When I was about 6 or 7, I was at my cousin Conner's house for Christmas. We were having loads of fun on Christmas Eve, trying to stay up late and see Santa by drinking lots of cocoa (we had absolute tons of it, my Vavô loves chocolate) but we blinked out at about 11:30. The next morning, we woke up and rushed downstairs because presents, but his house was set up in such a way that there's a big window right at the landing of the stairs. It was really bright outside, so I looked out the window and there was 8 inches of snow! I started yelling about snow, and then Conner started yelling about snow, which woke up Vavô and Vavó. They let us play outside after we ate breakfast and opened presents, and we sledded down a hill near his house for 2 hours. It was awesome.

Memory: Just this Christmas, I made a memory I will always cherish dear to me <3 My step dad passed away in November and my mom was heartbroken. I got on Collage.com and I made her a blanket full of their pictures and the memories we’ve all had with him. I made one for my Grandmom too, because my Poppop also passed away in November. It was a double whammy for sure. I also have pillows coming that have special messages on the back that they can read and then they can hug the pillow for comfort (: as well as my siblings! They haven’t gotten the pillows, but the looks on their faces and the moments we shared when the blankets arrived will forever make me happy knowing I made them happy!

Memory: My favorite memory is going to cookie decorating parties at my aunt's house. Everyone in the family would go, and our family friends, it would be a big event and everyone would try to out-do each other with their decorating. c': My late aunt started this "tradition" of bringing tweezers to the party so she could have more precision with her sprinkle placing, it was a lot of fun and pretty hilarious at times.

When I was a little kid I remember coming downstairs for Christmas one year and seeing presents piled high around our tree, and I was so excited. I mean, all of them literally wouldn't fit underneath the tree. XD There were so many things that I loved and played with that it took forever for us to open them all.

(Some of my memory comes from watching a home video, because I was only about three at the time.)

It wasn't so much about getting a lot of presents. It was more about seeing the tree with all the pretty wrapped packages surrounding it. If that makes sense.
