Do they live by it?
When Akila was a kit, he was seriously bullied by the other kits. They would insult him because of his fur color, his unusual name, and the fact that he had a mild stutter. They would call him names like 'broken record' or 'clown face' purely out of spite.

But now, 15 years later, he is an accomplished actor and comedian, who brings joy to people like him; people who are different.

Do they live by it?
Of course! WHO DOESN'T! Well at least in his mind who could. I mean how could you live with out dreams. How could you live without strength. How could you live without HUMOR! These 3 things are his favorite and most important skills. A mind and heart that has dreams and wishes is something he wants his mate to have. A mind strong enough to not be destroyed by hard times is something he respects and wishes he and his future mate has. His shine reminds him to stay strong like the mighty lion. The ability to laugh in a hard time or an easy moment is something he *thinks he can do. He also finds it hilarious when he shows all three of these things when hanging from trees. The ability to dream to become a monkey, a strong backbone (literally) that doesn't snap, and it's funny how he does it.

* his jokes are lame and is horrible at telling them even in easy moments but he thinks they are the greatest things ever

He tries to show these three truths when he travels around selling the things he's collected from the last town. Some of his items are for free and all you need to do is tell him a joke, show a scar of strength, or tell a dream of yours. Many have come to love him and his cart as it is different and amusing to them to say the least. He also sometimes tries to sell his less than good art for coins which is usually so bad people buy it out of amusement. His lions look like hippos and causes many laughs at these families dinner tables. He doesn't really mind them laughing as he laughs a bit at them too.
He usually has a permanent smile on his face which attracts some attention as it is different from a normal resting face. Around his neck he wears a loose necklace with bottles of "pixie" dust which is actually just mashed up dandelions he likes to pretend is pixie dust. Sometimes when he is bored he paints some onto his shine to make it even more yellow. Some may compare him to an overgrown child because that is pretty much what he is. Constantly happy, taking life slow and how it comes, and just having fun before he grows up (haha never happening honestly).
If he had to live by a different quote it would probably be "so what's the deal with airplane food" because what is the deal with it. It is so... processed and gross. That kinda makes it funny though. It is also a popular joke line from TV shows or comedians or comedians on TV shows. It pretty much sums up his level of thinking too which is none.

Gai lives by this quote as he has seen it happen before, he saw watch hate did to his people but once a bit of love
found it's way into their hearts that hate vanished not even so much as leaving a shadow behind and so now he
teaches this quote to all his apprentices and to others he meets in hopes they too will see that the light of love drive
out the darkness of hate..

Yes, they live by this quote. They are basically the most philosophical kalon that anyone could meet. They say the weirdest things, but always the right things to help that kalon in need.
