Anthea is currently 2 years into her apprenticeship to be a watch/clock maker,
but since most watches nowadays are mainly made by factories the
business for handcrafted watches is starting to die out and her teacher
usually gets jobs for repairs on older clocks/watches where the parts are no
longer available. This is when the hard work kicks in. A clock/watchmaker
must be skilled in the ability to fabricate parts which are missing or no
longer exist, from scratch. She hasn't quite mastered this yet, as according
to Jethro (her slightly eccentric teacher) this is the aspect which takes years
to learn. Despite the lack of trade for the making side of this profession,
Anthea still wants to learn how to make her own clocks and watches from
scratch using materials she has sourced and adapted herself.

Anthea would describe herself as sanguine, in other words she's very optimistic no matter what the situation is, but especially so in more difficult and testing ones. Somehow she manages to see the good in the world despite the worst situations and this is because she thinks that it is an absolute waste of time to dwell on the negatives when instead you could be thinking of the future and moving forwards. She's definitely one to appreciate the little things in life, for example beautiful sunsets and sunrises, pretty clouds, a nice cup of hot chocolate when you come in from the cold, smiles, and how determined nature can be in the first crocuses that pop their heads up out of the soil after a long, harsh winter.

Due to her slightly above average eloquence and use of old-fashioned and longer words, Anthea is usually very loquacious. However, she frequently gets told by a lot of people that it's lovely how much she talks, but she could do with toning it down a little as, apparently, her talkativeness can be overpowering and off-putting to those who don't know her very well. Sometimes she starts to question whether this could be one of the reasons why she's still single, but the rest of the time she just tries to ignore these people and continues with her life the way that feels most natural. Regardless of whether that is the case, she loves the English languagea and all of its quirks, silly little phrases and strange pronunciations. She believes it is only right to do it justice by using words that have fallen out of common use.

Anthea is also chronically maladroit and therefore ridiculously liable to tripping over her own feet - not to mention cables or other thing that happen to be in the way. As a result of this clumsiness, she is permanently covered in bruses and minor cuts thanks to the several falls she performs daily, and it is rare to see her without at least one plaster on each arm. None of this is helped by the fact she lacks the ability to walk in a straight line and has astonishingly bad balance, all of course inherited from her mother's side of the family - at least, that's what she likes to tell herself.

One thing you should never ever attempt to do is touch her hair. She gets pretty obsessive over how it looks and will spend a short while in the morning styling it ready for the remainder of the day. If you dare try and brush your fingertips over her brunette locks though, it is likely she will bite back (usually metaphorically) and start yelling at you about the concept personal space. If on the off chance she does let you touch her hair, the chances are she either has a crush on your or you're someone she trusts a great deal. Unfortunately, there aren't an abundance of the latter cases once you remove family members from the equation.

Another aspect of her personality is that she's incredibly indecisive and spends a lot of time pondering various different options, leading to a random and disorganised work style. If she spends too long on one thing it is highly likely that she will get bored and not be able to concentrate on the task at hand for very long. Alternatively, if she's able to flit between several ongoing tasks then it's a much more effective and productive use of her time, and also means that she gets a lot more done. This is probably the reason why she didn't do very well in school and is much better suited to the lifestyle of a craftsman.

Finally, Anthea is literal minded. This really doesn't come in handy when people try to tell her jokes, and her friends tend to complain about the fact she has no sense of humour when in reality she can't help it - she just takes everything the more literal way. She's also fairly tactless and often says the wrong thing in the wrong situation when it comes to conversations, no matter how hard she tries. This has been disastrous on many occaisions, one instance including the end of a very long friendship.

to her mother, Maisie and her father, Calum.
Together, they ran a stables and a horse
breeding program and Anthea used to get up
early every day to help them out. Because
of the family business, she learned to ride

I would order/attempt to draw her art, find her relationships in the fanclub and (if it came down to it) spend a while trying to find her the perfect mate. I would work on developing her personality a lot more, as well as giving her more detailed hobbies and preferences. As for the watch making, maybe when her growth is finished that could be when she finishes her watchmaking apprenticeship and then that would lead into more development on her as a self-sufficient adult looking for love. If one of my plumies ends up being mated to her current date, then I'm currently toying with the idea of making her their adopted child so that my two lovebugs could have a child. There are so many beautiful forms though, so I know that there are plenty of people who would give her an amazing home!
