Anatomy/features:
very flexible spine allows them to contasntly be in a "loop" like form
Has backmane and thick fur ranging in size to adjust to different climates
Has a lion-like mane to protect their upper neck/lower jaw when in territorial fights
Only have two legs to make it easier to glide through the air
Silky tail is used to impress others, the silkier the more impressive
Instead of blood or saliva they have a fruity goo
Always flying or hovering because having only two legs makes it difficult to be on the ground
Have arm bands on wrists because they believe as long as they are on the bands ward off evil

Info/Lore:
They can usually be found in any country or region, as their fur adjusts to the climates around them to either keep them cool or warm. They are found in places heavily populated with wildlife and plants that are edible, because the amount of energy that it takes to be in flight needs to be constantly replenished by eating. They are omnivores but in some cases can be herbivores or carnivores. They haven't been in contact with humans hot extended periods of time because they are such mystical creatures. They stump scientists about flight, because they don't have wings and have very awkward bodies. The reason they can fly is due to a fairly clear mind that allows mediation. They cannot fly right away as a baby because as babies they are usually confused as to how to clear the mind and to get into a meditive state.

I will change a few things, the plan weren't final anyways lol. I'm going to add a ferret like head with round ears and some customization on the tail and the two legs.

honestly the concept of "dog, but long" or "ferretlike" is so incredibly common and simple an idea that anyone who fusses at you doesn't really have a leg to stand on. i wouldn't worry. these are quite cute, though, and i look forward to seeing them around!
