Redline my horse?

Postby King of Crows » Sat Nov 26, 2016 9:59 am

Eeeeh guys. I've been raised around horses my entire life and have been attempting to draw them for that time, but there's just something about them that I just...how??

So I am really, really awful at drawing horses/equines, and I was hoping someone could help out?

Please only redline if you fully believe you can help and actually can see what I'm doing wrong. This is not meant for coloring, so please do not do that either!

    Thank you <3

Horse's are indeed tricky! I did a quick redline here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=3264526

Although I can't help you, from what I can see I can tell that if you keep trying you will definitely improve because you seem to have a general idea of what a horse looks like but it's just a problem with anatomy. Even now I still have trouble with drawing them.
One thing I would like to point out the most though is the leg, it seems a bit strange. Since horses have very well defined shaped leg and yours seem to be a bit too lumpy and too muscular in certain areas.

It's a good thing that you grew up around horses too since that helps a lot. If you are still at a place where there are horses you should observe them more and take pictures of to refer to or you can look up some pictures of horses in google. In any case nice work and keep trying! I believe you can do it! ^-^
